6:30AM
The Team is sooooo hopeful this morning, that we will be able to see the blue
waters of Crater Lake instead of only rain clouds! We are leaving the Mazama
Campground early, and heading back up to an overlook, in order to see the sun
come up over the water.

In the pic below, you see George and Ms. Tioga just before we leave our Mazama
Campground site in Crater Lake National Park.

7:45AM
This is soooooo exciting! Wow! We have driven to an Overlook called
"The Watchman", which looks down on Wizard Island in Crater Lake when
there are no clouds. Take a peek at the pic below. You may see that
we are definitely inside a cloud!

We figured that if we Day Camped at the highest point that we could find,
that Mr. Sunny might be able to get power from the Sun. Guess what? The
Sun pops thru the clouds every now and then. Looking North and away from
Crater Lake, we actually look down at the clouds in the distance. According
to Mr. DeLorme, we are at 7,682 feet altitude!

9AM
We were just about to make breakfast, when Mr. Mavica shouted out, "I can
see the Lake!!" So George and Mr. Mavica ran out, and took this pic below,
just before the clouds began to close in again.

11AM
It took two hours for the Crater Lake to be visable again thru the clouds. In only
a minute, the Lake is clear, with no clouds. A few minutes later, nothing.
For the rest of the afternoon, Ms. Tioga and The Team drove around the Lake
and Mr. Mavica took pics.

Mr. Mavica and George have decided to put up the following pics with no words.
What could describe Crater Lake, better than the Lake itself?

TiogaRV Team Mission
To share the vagabonding life with our fellow RVers like yourself. We hope that you will try to boondock and dry camp. We have found great joy in camping away from the RV Campground. We would like you to try our camping life style yourself. Sharing with you our Daily Adventure is our way of encouraging you to try to camp as we do.
