FREEDOM HAS A BIRTHDAY!
7AM - Happy Birthday United States of America!
It has been 231 years since we declared our independence from England. Wow! Our country has come soooooooo far since then!

Here in the City of Laramie, the street where we are Camped has been closed off for the 3-mile Independence Day Run! It's OK for us to stay here.

7:30AM - MsTioga gets washed.
MsTioga and George have gotten the wash thing down pretty good now. It takes four days to wash MsTioga completely. Trying to do all of MsTioga in one day, is just too much work!

If we are diligent in cleaning, the washing is much easier because a pre-wash is not necessary. We use two containers, one with Blue Coral Wash & Wax and the other with clear water. The Blue Coral goes on with a sponge, then we rinse off with another sponge and the clear water. Next we squeegee off the water and finish dry with a chamois.

MsTioga says, "I don't feel dirty when I am clean!"

12 Noon - Freedom birthday party.
The City of Laramie's Freedom party is at Washington Park. There are tons of people here. The Laramie Fire Department is here demonstrating to kids how to use a fire hose.

There is music, like this one playing old time music.

And there is food! George bought a BIG sausage sandwich from a family who makes sausage here in town.
Polish sausage is soooooo good!

4PM - Camped above the fireworks site.
The City of Laramie calls their fireworks display, "Fire In The Sky." MsTioga has made her Camp on a road above the field where the fireworks will be set off.

Isn't it the greatest thing that we on The Team are able to position ourselves like this for the fireworks display? Wow!

Little Mavicito took the pic below, just as a rainstorm let loose. It is really something that nearly every afternoon, the clouds zoom in. But this rainstorm has just turned into a HALE storm! Man-O-man! MsTioga has only been in a few hale storms before.
Our fireworks camp.

4:30PM - Real Fire in the Sky!
Suddenly we heard thunder in the distance. It was getting louder, and moving closer. Then came lightning. The storm was coming in from the west, and the lightning was getting closer, some striking the ground!

Mr. Datastorm was concerned, because his big antenna was sticking up in the air. Would the lightning strike Mr. Datastorm? So Mr. Datastorm decided to stow himself, in order to be safe.

5:30PM - The storm has moved off to the east.
Mr. Datastorm feels that it is safe now, for him to go up so that we may publish our blog. Up he went into the dark sky. Isn't Mr. Datastorm the bravest thing? Hmmmmm?

7:30PM - Concert started against a very dark sky.
The concert which is the entertainment before the fireworks display has just begun. The storm has blown east into Nebraska. The Sun is out here in Laramie, but the dark sky is very ominous.

10:30PM - Fire in the Sky!
The concert went on forever. We could hear the audience yelling and the music playing.

Then, from way out there, came the sound of singing. It was our National Anthem!

Oh, say, can you see, by the dawn's early light,
What so proudly we hail'd at the twilight's last gleaming?
Whose broad stripes and bright stars, thro' the perilous fight,
O'er the ramparts we watch'd, were so gallantly streaming?
And the rockets' red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof thro' the night that our flag was still there.
O say, does that star-spangled banner yet wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave?

We saw the rockets, and our flag is still there!
