We want a friendly Boid!
The TiogaRV Team knows a lot about getting a budgie to be friendly. Little Blue Boid is a budgie or parakeet.

Little Blue Boid's door has been open for more than a day, and Boid refuses to exit. So, we have moved Boid's seeds outside his his home. If Boid wants some seeds, he will have to go outside and get them.
Our reluctant Boid.

Blue Boid finally went out of his cage door. However, poor Little Blue Boid seems to have all sorts of perception challenges! He does not seem to perceive that he cannot fly thru MsTioga's windows. He does not perceive what a good perch would be either.

Instead of flying to a window ledge, seat back or even his cage, Blue Boid has been clinging on to a window screen for about 20 minutes! Often, Blue Boid likes to be upside down!

How to go back in time!

Do you know how to go back in time to see what the TiogaRV Team did years ago? MsTioga and George have had tons of adventures since our Blog first got published in May, 2003.

In our right blog column you may find our "Calendar Archives." These will take you to any day that we have published our Blog!

11AM - City of Guanajuato!
We have arrived in the City of Guanajuato. Even with our Garmin Nuvi 750 GPS, this place is very challenging. Parking places are hard to come by. However, we have plenty of time. So, MsTioga and The Team are just looking around.

The City of Guanajuato appears to be surrounded by hills, most of the city lies in the valley. MsTioga has climbed a hill to the south of town and made a Day Camp in order to get our bearings.

Carretera Panoramica y El Centro.

During the afternoon, MsTioga drove around Carretera Panoramica y El Centro [Panorama Highway & the town center]. When we were here in February, 2008, the center of Guanajuato was packed with tourists. This Saturday afternoon we expected El Centro to be packed again. However, the tourist population appears absent!

We asked a waitress in a restaurant why there were so few tourists? She replied that the problem is the influenza. "Business is very bad now", she said.

6PM - Nite Camped along Carretera Panoramica.
We tried to make a Nite Camp alongside a small dam where a few people were rowing boats. Mr. Datastorm could not go up there because of too many trees. So, we've made our Nite Camp up on the Carretera Panoramica. Mr. DeLorme reports the elevation here to be 6,905 feet!

Note to readers, especially new readers:
As you may view in the pic above, the fabulous MsTioga is Camped on a road in the City of Guanajuato. For almost every nite since early 2003, MsTioga has found a FREE Nite Camp. Either a dry camp in a town or a boondock camp in the wilds.

As you may read in our Mission Statement found at the bottom of our blog, we are living the example of this wonderful life that we hope you will try for yourself.
