Star spangled nite

Star spangled nite!
Yesterday evening, Flyboy David and his woman friend Laura were inside MsTioga to watch a movie! And the movie was "Flyboys". The movie is loosely based on the true story of the Lafayette Escadrille. This is the squadron of American volunteer fighter pilots in World War One who flew in the French Air Force. David's favorite fighter planes are those of WW One.

After the movie, the three of us walked out on to the beach at Matanchen and were overwhelmed by the clearness of the nite sky. The sky was brighter than we had seen for many a nite. A star spangled nite sky allowing us to see the Milky Way Galaxy and beyond, far into our Universe.

10AM - Wind whipped tide!
Yesterday's high tide ran up the beach 100 yards further than today's because the tide yesterday was wind whipped. And yesterday's tide covered the entire beach.

In the pic below, we are minutes from high tide. Yet the tide has not reached MsTioga at her Camp in the middle of Matanchen Beach. The winds are not so strong today.
MsTioga challenges high tide!

Want to fly?
Have you ever thought about learning to fly? Our buddy Flyboy Ole is spending the winter in Arizona. Ole has been successfully teaching people to fly ultralight airplanes for many years.
