Half Moon Bay

9AM - Half Moon Bay
You may recall that late yesterday morning, MsTioga and The Team headed north out of the City of Santa Cruz.  By mid-afternoon we found ourselves in the Town of Half Moon Bay.  We stayed the nite at Pillar Point Harbor and paid $30 for the privilege.  Not too much considering the loveliness of the place and also that MsTioga did not have to look around for an outlaw camping spot.

Below you may be able to see MsTioga in the center of Little Mavicita's pano pic.  Did you notice that Mr. Datastorm's antenna is down?  That's because we are using a small Verizon Pantech model UML290 modem to go online.  The Verizon works swell in most locations.  Gets its power from a USB port!

12 Noon - Things I like about Pillar Point
  • The lot where MsTioga is camping is pretty empty which means that we are not crammed in as are the usual RV parking places.
  • It is pretty quiet here.
  • There are a bunch of places to eat at the Pillar Point Harbor.
  • The view of the harbor is beautiful.
  • There is an open WiFi connection to a nearby hotel which must be hardly used by hotel guests late at nite.  I downloaded two good movies last nite after 12 midnite!  At a very fast download speed too!
