Being afraid

7AM - Being afraid
MsTioga and I have written about fear many times.  We are writing about it this morning, because fear crept into our hearts last nite.  We do not know what brings fear.  We just know that from time to time, fear comes.  So, what should we do about it?

Our Nite Camp is on a small road with very little traffic.  It is a river road, running next to the South Fork Eel River.  Last nite after dark we were watching a movie.  MsTioga's front curtain was open.  This is the curtain that closes off her windshield.  A couple hundred yards ahead of us, we saw a car stop in the road.  Immediately we felt fear!  We did not know from where that fear came.  But it was there.

The thought came to break our camp and move back into the safety of the town.  We did not do that, because we have had such thoughts many times before.    We fight back such thoughts of fear with the knowledge that what we fear rarely happens.  In fact, never happened to us.  Soon the fear faded into nothingness.  We enjoyed our movie, went to bed and slept safe and sound all nite!

11AM - Avenue of the Giants
MsTioga is [here] and about to enter the redwood forest by driving on the road known as "Avenue of the Giants".

We are a bit surprised that our little Verizon device is able to connect to the internet way out here!

3PM - Camped in the redwoods
MsTioga and The Team have made our Nite Camp in Humboldt Redwoods State Park.  Our camp is in Burlington Campground, located in the middle of Avenue of the Giants.

Of course this place is beautiful!
