Old blogger template gone

Dear Readers:

This morning I attempted to change my Blogger template. The instructions from Blogger stated:
"Do not worry. We will save a copy of your old template."

However, Blogger did not save my old template. So, I was not able to restore my blog to the way it has looked for many years.

What this means is that my blog, which I considered elegant, is no more. I am crushed. And very sad about this turn of events. But things happen. That is life.

I want to thank readers who have followed my adventures for many years. I will miss blogging to you.

Bye for now,
George

PS: I am going to keep trying!

11AM - Cabinet repair job
This morning while eating breakfast I saw that the ceiling cabinet on the passenger seat side had come loose and was hanging down. The cabinet frame looked strong, so a couple of big wood screws were driven thru the frame and into cab-over cabinet's side. Then more screws thru the cabinet frame and into Tioga's wall.

Seems to be holding good now!

I read your blog from time to time and enjoy it immensely. Oddly, I find the more mundane posts more interesting. I like to see how you overcome certain bumps in the road and obstacles that come up. The adventures are nice too. I have read that people in Costa Rica are very resourceful in dealing with repairs and upkeep. They pass on things like small appliances and furniture from one generation to the next. If the family blender breaks, they send it out to a small appliance repair person, who will fix it and even rewind the motor if need be. Here in America we seem to be a throw away society. I would like to see us get back to buying quality and maintaining our possessions. Less land fill. Hope you fix the issue with the blog.

    1. The problem with the template was that Blogger would not let me upload my template. I have a good template copy. But Blogger will no longer accept that copy for an upload!

I am so sorry, George! How terrible for you. I hope you can figure out a way to fix it or someone comes to your aid. Love your blog and owe it, and you, a lot.

    1. After I realized that my template was lost forever, I went over to Kevin and Ruth for help with using the new Blogger interface. Took a little time to tweak the settings. But, it's coming along.

  13. I like this format way better. I don't get a kink in my neck reading everything on the far left. And less ads.
