A new blog for George

I have been troubled for quite awhile about the reality of my blog. The Adventures of Tioga and George actually ended in September, 2010 when my son David died. But my blog limped along, because I refused to accept how I was changed by that fateful month.

However, I have changed. At my core, I live a life dedicated to reality. As Dr. Peck wrote in, A Road Less Traveled:
"Our view of reality is like a map with which to negotiate the terrain of life. If the map is true and accurate, we will generally know where we are, and if we have decided where we want to go, we will generally know how to get there. If the map is false and inaccurate, we generally will be lost."

Dear readers, I am in the process of change. I no longer am the man who with my RV, MsTioga, constantly searches for adventure. And my blog is holding me back from accepting the change. I cannot do anything about the change. It has already happened.

Actively clinging to an outmoded view of my reality, is not a healthy way to live. What I must do now is embrace the reality of the change in my life by creating a new blog and writing about what is going on. By writing about my present life, I will be learning what it is that I want to do. And what is more, since my life is dedicated to reality, I will be writing the truth. And writing that truth will lead me in the right direction.

  1. I don't see what moving the blog accomplishes other than shooting yourself in the foot with the ad money.

  4. Thank you George for your work and willingness to share. I have used your values and other self sharing in helping others through my work as a Counselor. I also enjoy reading archive postings (more than once over the years) especially when you followed the emigrant trails. God bless your new style of blogging, caring, and sharing.

  5. I'm not sure exactly why but this blog is loading extremely slow for me. Is anyone else having this issue or is it a issue on my end? I'll check back later on
and see if the problem still exists.
