Park caretaker job

This morning I went with John to see the park where I might have taken up the job of being caretaker.  Unfortunately, this place really is not a park. More like undeveloped land with some ponds and connecting dirt roads. Close to a busy highway too. This is not a serene place.

At my age and physical condition, it seems to me that I should not be taking up living in a place like this one. Far away from other people. Being alone most of the time.

However, when opportunities come along, I've got to take a look. Got to go see. And I am glad that I went. I will keep looking.

  2. I agree, George. You need a more welcoming environment. It's a good idea to keep looking. Meanwhile, please take good care of you, and please include your friends here in your quest for adventure!

  3. Take your time looking while your body heals from surgery and stabilize to blood thinners. It appears you are in good hands with friends as John so no need to rush into things. And no, isolation is not the answer right now until your body completely heals. Take care.

  4. It's so great to see you posting daily again. Thank you so much. Please take care and not do too much at once. We're following several people's blogs that are going thru the same thing. It takes time to overcome the surgery. Hugs to you.

  5. Glad you won't be tied down to a job for right now - relax and let your body heal. It took Bill a good six months before he felt 100% again.
And now you'll still be able to come visit us once we get home. though don't know when that will be. soon I hope.

  10. Good decision, George. Your psyche took a hit as well as your heart. Both need time to heal and learn to deal with the consequences of the episode. Putting yourself in positions that are mentally healthy is just as important as those that are heart healthy.

That little voice in your head has led you to many wonderful places and experiences. You are one of the fortunates who has learned to listen to it.

    Take care.
