Fell down

As you may know, I drive my electric bicycle a whole lot. It seems that I have developed a bad habit of taking corners too fast. I like the feeling of leaning far over in order to do a fast corner.

I was going thru the CostCo parking lot today and went thru a corner where the pavement had a greasy spot, and down I went! But I did not get hurt!! I landed on the pavement face down. Completely flat on my stomach.

I was very, very lucky!!

From now on, I am taking corners very slow.

  2. George, you are such a speed demon. Take those corners a little slower and stay safe.

  3. Those of us that ride motorcycles are always looking for loose gravel and such in corners.

  4. Careful George, we don't bounce as well as we did when we were young!

  6. I can imagine how fun it is to take those corners leaning like that - like you did when you were a little boy. But, yeah, better to be a little more conservative now - and keep safe.

  7. I fell of a scooter last year going about 0 mph. Broke 7 bones in my shoulder and beyond. Doc said I need to grow more padding. Now I too ride an electric bike. Grow more padding,George.

  8. A brain bucket (helmet) and caution is all that keeps me alive, sometimes, on a scooter or bike. Common sense and caution seem in short supply here. Congrats on a successful belly flop!

  9. I praise God you weren't severely hurt. Don't be surprised if your muscles don't ache, for a while. Prayer for you, continues...

  10. Yes, I had a full face motorcycle helmet on and padded motorcycle jacket. Years of motorcycle riding and I fell from a damn scooter.
