CT Scan

I met with my Kaiser doctor yesterday, and the end result of that meeting was that I will get a CT Scan of my head and chest. This will be done to rule out any sign of cancer.

My doctor's thinking is, that a cancer growing in my brain may trigger the lack of arm/hand/foot control.

My loss of 13 pounds since last December came out during my check-in. In talking about that weight loss to my doctor, I mentioned that I experienced a huge loss of appetite during this time. I used to really enjoy going out to eat. Now, I sort of do not like contemplating eating food.

  4. Yes, George. Please let us know what goes on. You did lots of going out to eat while you were in Guatemala, but we didn't know how much you ate. Here's hoping that scan rules out serious trouble. You are much loved here.

  7. Why in the world would he tell you that until he needs to tell you that (meaning only if it's the case)?? It causes untold worry which is unhealthy in itself.

I wish you continued good health for a very long time to come. I'm sending you good thoughts and will hold you in my prayers. I know being home is comforting. Glad you made it fine.

  8. I agree with Barbara. Too many doctors fail to grasp the suggestive power of their words - especially when they don't really know yet what's afoot. Prayers continue unabated, as always, dear George...
