Johnny Cash on the balcony

7am - The last two days have been pretty cloudy and a bit cool. But this morning dawned with not even one cloud in the great blue sky!
Man-O-Man!

We are out on the balcony, sitting in the little beach chair that we bought especially for a Shabat Service held at Mission Bay. It is sooooo comfortable sitting in the little chair.

Our balcony view:
  • Hummingbird feeder
  • Little waterfall
  • The balcony Impatiens, blooming flowers
  • The forest like grove of mixed trees on the land below Guava Gardens
On the balcony with us, is the great Johnny Cash! It's hard to believe that as this blog preparation types along, Johnny is singing: "Folsom Prison Blues."

Can it get any better than this?

10am - We are headed for the "Y."
A bit early this morning, we went to the YMCA. Lots of The Team are going with us to the "Y."

Mac and iPhone are especially needed. iPhone is needed because he times our exercises [5-minutes each machine]. Also, iPhone plays music during exercising and transmits that music to a Logitech Wireless Head Set. Really cool.

12 noon - Spill the beans?
A friend asked, "Why have you not told Readers that you will soon be full timing again?"

But, I am only telling you about that! Mums the word. Don't let the other Readers know about me full timing again. Don't spill the beans!

Did this guy spill the beans?

    1. Hi Carol & Bill,

My new trailer will become my home base. I will keep the little Honda FIT that I have now for camping.

I bought an instant setup tent Click here to watch video.

My plan is to travel around in the Honda FIT when I go camping and use this fabulous tent for sleeping.

The new trailer will not move.

  5. I love tent camping. I had to buy a Coleman cot that folds in half (a twin bed). Getting up off the ground is murder...nothing to hold on to and push off from the ground. No wonder the advertisement 'I've fallen and can't get up!'

  6. P/S I have a 'pop up' tent...walk inside the deflated tent, push a lever and up it goes; pull the lever down and the tent collapses...easy peasy.

    1. Hi Rita,

I also love tent camping. It is so wonderful to be in the tent sleeping, and awaken to the gentle sound of rain drops on the tent's roof.

I bought a Coleman camping cot to sleep on while camping. And now the new pop-up tent is coming. I am sooooo excited!

  8. I said that you would never fulltime again. I could see it working if you had a small Class B motorhome, but not with that 30'trailer .

    1. Hi Dave,

My kind of fulltiming at this stage of my life consists of living in a mostly not-moving trailer.

For camping, I will sleep in the an instant pop-up tent. Drive to my camping place in the Honda FIT.

  9. Good morning George, I watched the video of the tent, I wish you'd make a video of the first time you try to open it! I'm afraid my husband would go airborne with the thing! I have never seen a tent like that! It is awesome tent camping, but haven't done it in a long time! I can see why you are excited about your new endeavor! Thanks for sharing!!

    1. Hi Pat,

It may very well be that buyers of that tent have to use it quite a while to perform with that tent as in the video.

I bought a simple wind shield screen that I owed for months before I was able fold it down for storing properly.

  10. Be sure to practice with that tent before you actually take it out camping. It looks like it might be quite difficult to take down and tie together, although to set it up, just take off the tie band and throw it up in the air.

  11. Hey George glad to see you are still full of spunk and adventure. You had me worried about towing the trailer though. As a fulltimer who has a 28' travel trailer, towing a conventional trailer is not easy. You have to be hyper diligent and on it at all times. NOW if you said you were going to buy a compact Class C or even a B, that would be something altogether different. Best of luck either way!
