Camping

Lewis and Clark Trail

9am - We were thinking about following the Lewis and Clark Trail for the second time later this year. But this time with Scampy.

We went to our archived web pages in 2006, to refresh our memories. What we came up with, is that it may not be possible to have a fantastic 2nd exploration of The Journey of Discovery that Lewis and Clark made [link].

It may be better to cover new ground. Explore new places.

  1. Sounds like a great plan! C'mon up across the border and you can camp at our park in Saskatchewan for a while. The Lewis and Clark Trail is very close to the border.

It would be like old times to follow you on a trip like this. If you're going to do it, I highly recommend Stephen Ambrose's wonderful book, "Undaunted Courage". In fact, I recommend it even if you don't go. Everyone should read it.

  2. Great adventure either way. I hit parts of the Lewis and Clark trail last summer when returning to my home base in Montana. I went as far east as Pompey’s Pillar then headed back home in Hamilton.
