Johana

Day 158

Breakfast With Johana

8:00am:
Johana and I have a date to meet at the Santa Cruz Diner. This is a big event for me because I do not see Johana often because we live far apart.

We spent several hours together. From 8am to 2pm! Gotta love that!

Our conversation spanned from what goes on at her job [Computer engineer] to the building project that Johana is doing on her home. And of course, Johana spent about an hour inside Scampy visiting with Baby Boid and looking at all of my projects.

We have made plans to get together again in a couple of days to go for supper together!

Man-O-Man! This has been a very special day for me!

2:25pm:
Staying in Santa Cruz
My plan is to remain in the City of Santa Cruz for a few days. One thing that I like to do here, is looking around the place where the surf board people play.

There is an excellent place for that viewing. A place along East Cliff Drive where the waves move parallel to the cliff. Viewers are able to look down on the surfers.

Wow! Sooooo exciting!

Surfers but not much surf

I borrowed this pic which shows
what it's like when the surf is up!

7:18pm:

Blade Runner 2049
Please tell me how the actors in this movie appear so young?

Blade Runner 2049 just got released. But Harrison Ford, Daryl Hannah, Sean Young, etc, appear to be maybe 30 years younger than they are right now?

I don't get it?!

PS: I just finished watching this movie. It's two hours long. Two hours of my life, down the drain.

    1. Freebird,

That is a very nice compliment.

You know something, Freebird. When I stopped taking all my prescription meds in June, 2016, I had no clue what my destiny held for me.

      My physical condition was:
      ➜ Overweight by 40 lbs
➜ My right hand and foot twitched at times
➜ I had moderately high blood pressure
➜ I was using a cane because i had balance issues
      ➜ High cholesterol

My life as an RVer was over. I lived in a senior retirement apartment.

Who would have dreamed in June, 2016, that I would soon become the person that I am now.

      George

    1. Hi Ernie,

Yes it is true. I am a most fortunate guy!

Somehow, over the years, my relationship with Johana has blossomed. She is so big hearted. Makes me feel good to simply be around her.

  5. A suggestion: I believe George Lehrer should be awarded the Spirit Award in 2018 by the RV/MH HALL OF FAME in Elkhart, IN. The RV stands for Recreational Vehivle. The MH stands for Manufactured Home.
George has over 9 million hits on his website. George had been blogging almost daily for 14+ years. And somewhere I read: "A journal of the greatest fulltimr RVer in the history of the world." So true.
George has likely inspired more people than anyone else to get an rv or use their rv to see America, Mexico and other countries.
George deserves to be acknoweledged by the industry.
May I suggest his loyal followers check out the group and their award and write letters and emails asking them to recognize Tioga George Lehrer for his many accomplishments, especially his blog with over 9 million hits over 14+ years.
    George deserves to be recognized.

    1. Wow! Ernie!

      Thank you sooooo much!

When I began RVing and Blogging in 2003, my overall goal was:
To be of service to RVers.

Your comment tells me that I have achieved this goal.

      Thank you,
      George

    1. Barb,

You comment was removed, because you did not observe proper respect for me and Johana.

Your comment pried into a private place in my life. A place which I very delicately in my Blog, steered around.

I am sad for you, that you do not possess the understanding to know the answer to your question:
      Why was my post removed?

      George

PS: You are the reason that I have resumed "Comment Moderation."

  9. George, I concur with ernie. I bought our RV in 2003 and "learned the ropes" along with you about RVing. I thank you for that! Max from Illinois.
