Kelly's RV

Day 28

Kelly to Look at Twayler

6:40am:
This afternoon, Kelly, the owner of Kelly's RV is coming to take a look at Twayler. It could be that I will make a deal with Kelly to sell Twayler by consignment.

To make Twayler presentable, all my stuff that still is inside Twayler will be moved out this morning. Also, I will clean and wax Twayler's floor.

PS: Kelly's RV is only a mile away from Lone Wolf RV Park.

.

1:24pm:
Twayler Now In Ship-Shape!
Wow! Cleaning an entire Twayler, is not an easy job!

List of stuff:
➜ Remove every visible thing [Not in a cabinet] from bed, couch, floor, counters, etc., to the yard in front of Twayler.
➜ Remove all wall hanging pictures, and anything fastened to the walls and ceiling.
➜ Fill all nail and screw holes with matching color putty.
➜ Sweep floor.
➜ Clean floor corners with Formula 409 using a toothbrush!
➜ Sweep floor once again to pick up debris that the toothbrush found.
➜ Mop floor. Took several times mopping entire floor to get it right!
➜ Wax floor being careful to end waxing as I was about to go out front door.
➜ Paint entry steps with Rust-Oleum flat black [Hope the paint dries quickly!].

5:25pm:
Kelly is a no-show!
Yes, that's right. Kelly did not show up! But that's OK. Kelly's RV is a small operation. And he likely got hung up.

Sooooo....I am treating myself out for a Pre-Thanksgiving dinner! Yummmm!

    1. These appear to be asking prices, not sales.

    2. During the winter months is a good time to be buying an RV. Because demand is low, selling prices are low too.

Probably best to keep MsTwayler out of the market until spring!

    3. Yes, they are asking prices. Waiting is more depreciation. The 2019 RV models start coming out in June 2018.

  3. The appointment was an impetus to get a lot done anyway.
Now Twayler is all clean and tidy. Good job, George!

    1. Hi Sandy,

Happy Thanksgiving to you as well! 😎

Maybe we should be waiting until January, February, or ?, to put Twayler on the market? Prices of RVs are sooooo low now [During the winter].

  10. George, I live in Florida and it's always RVing weather and a good time to buy and sell an RV. I just took a look at Apple Valley's average winter temps and it looks like low to mid 50's for Jan, Feb and March. Seems like RVing weather to me. Now if you're talking Brunswick, Maine... I'd agree winter is not a time to sell an RV.

    1. Hi Robert,

Everybody out here [Dealers and RVers] inform me that RVs do not sell quickly during winter months.

I don't know if this is correct info or not!

      George

      PS: Happy Thanksgiving, Robert!.

    1. Hi Bill,

Sometimes I forget when setting up a new Blog post, to change from the Blogger default:
      Reader comments:
      Don't allow, show existing

For this Blog post, apparently I changed that parameter after this Blog was already setup. I am very sorry about what happened!

  13. Seeing as how today is actually black Friday maybe if you go to Lowe's or Home Depot you might be able to find a pair of real wire strippers and trade in the box cutter after all you do seem to have a fetish of self mutilation

    1. Hi Ed,

There is no wire stripper made for the 10 gauge cable that I was stripping when I poked my finger with the box cutter.

That cable is 1/2" diameter! I believe that professional electricians use a box cutter for stripping such a cable.

      I just got careless!
