Decision on Verizon Bills

8:48am:
In order to arrive at a decision about what to do about the bills from Verizon, I Blogged to you about what to do. Also, I put the situation to friends.

The situation is that Verizon charged me for service after I had left them and had already begun service with T-Mobile. Further, Verizon appears to have overcharged me for service while I was with them. Even further, Verizon sold me equipment that did not work and would not [Could not?] rectify the deficiency. This deficiency led to my moving to T-Mobile.

T-Mobile has a program to attract customers which consists of paying off equipment charges for new customers who come to T-Mobile from other communication providers. This pay off was substantial. $740!

I considered just keeping that $740 myself since, in my opinion, Verizon gave me poor service in addition to overcharging me for service while I was with them. But my final decision was to pay Verizon the $740 because that is what my values told me was the right thing to do.

Trader Joe's Sipping Chocolate
I love hot chocolate and many of my breakfasts have hot chocolate for my drink. One time while shopping at Trader Joe's, I came across Sipping Chocolate and gave it a try.

Sipping Chocolate for me turned out to be an acquired taste. It took awhile for my taste to come around. But now I love Sipping Chocolate more than regular hot chocolate. Bittersweet over regular sweet chocolate.

TurboTax
Thanks for TurboTax. Makes my tax return sooooo easy to do! Impossible for me to do my tax return myself. Too complicated!

I just filed my federal and state tax return electronically.

Haircut at Tina's
Whenever I'm in the San Diego area, I always go to Tina to get my hair cut. We go back together to when I first began living in La Mesa in 2014.

Tina follows my Blog, so she knows what I am doing.

  1. Abuelita makes good hot chocolate. Made in Mexico, but available in many U.S. grocery stores.

  2. If T-Mobile paid off your Verizon equipment bill I'm sure they didn't do it out of the goodness of their heart,,, have they somehow work that pay off into your existing new T-Mobile payment

    1. Ed,

Of course you are right about that. I never thought otherwise.

  3. George, I commend you on your Verizon decision. These are times when our values are challenged by the amoral and illegal things going on around us. Joining in on the fray is tempting, but it is more gratifying to stick to your internal values...

    1. Hi Ernie,

Yes! I agree. I am living the good life!

When I reflect on how my life has gone, it blows me away!
➜ In 2014 I had a very bad heart valve problem which caused me to pass out while driving MsTioga on I-5 near Bakersfield.
➜ I survived going off I-5 into a farmer's field barely missing a cement culvert by inches. If I had hit that culvert, it would have killed me.
      ➜ I survived heart surgery.
➜ Two years later, I returned to being an RVer!

I have 80 years, and still living on-the-road doing what I love to do!

I feel so very fortunate to be living my life!

      George
