4,433 Blog Posts

9:08am:
This morning I noticed the number of Blog posts that I've made since my first post on May 14, 2003. I have made 4,433 Blog posts.

There have been 5.435 days since then. That's 14 years, 10 months, 17 days. This means that I've missed a Blog post 1,002 days.

Not a perfect record. But not a bad record either! 😎

Cleaning
If I do not clean Scampy and Señor Tránsito almost every day, the two of them begin to look terrible. This morning the toilet/shower room was attended to.

When I was down on my hands and knees, I saw that the toilet/shower room floor and lower walls were very filthy! Why did I not see this dirt before?

Scampy has visitors who want to look inside. I always show visitors the toilet room. I am very embarrassed to know that I have shown this filthy floor!

Well, it's clean now.

PS: Also deep cleaned Scampy's the linoleum floor.

Searching for adventure!
After working out at 24 Hour Fitness, the Scampy Team headed north. Our search for a Forest Camp has us heading toward Idyllwild which was suggested by Reader Rita M! Thanks, Rita. 😎

We have just entered the City of Temecula. We want to fill up gasoline and fresh water tanks. Also, stock up on food. Don't want to run out of food in our Forest Camp.

We will likely make our Nite Camp somewhere around here.

  2. Excellent job! When life happens it's easy to put the journal on the back burner. You're my hero.

Glad you got the floor clean :) Funny as we age our vision becomes more "mellow" even with glasses! The good news is the world around us looks even better.

  5. Idyllwild is a great place! Lots of artists and little stores with lots of stuff to buy!

    But the town is beautiful.

    1. Hi Don,

Although I did not tour little stores in Idyllwild on this trip, I have done so in years gone by!

Thank you for your comment! 😎

  6. Hello George! I've followed you for about 10 years, though not sure I ever posted before (I did email you once many years ago & you replied most helpfully). You have been my inspiration & got me going to get my first RV many years ago & now my hubby (met out out camping ;) and I are full timing all over the USA. I have read every one of your blogs. You truly are an amazing person & by sharing your life you cannot imagine how many folks you help & inspire. Just wanted to say that if you decide to go a little farther from your home area to camp, I'm sure it would be easy to find someone to meet up with, which might make you feel a little more confident than being solo in a faraway forest camp. Take care & thanks!
