Eating plan

9:26am:
So far, I'm sticking with my eating plan. Breakfast and supper. Two meals each day. Today for breakfast I ate one omelet and one slice rye toast. For supper on the menu is a Sockeye Salmon Fillet and fried slices of zucchini squash.

For snacks, walnuts, baby carrots also peanuts. No cookies or candy.

I'm not having any trouble holding to this eating plan. I'm kind of anxious to see what will happen to the fat around my mid-section. There's not too much fat there now. But when I look around at many of the men and women at 24 Hour Fitness, I want to be like them!

11:50am:
Blood pressure check
I am curious what my blood pressure is now. So, I went to three pharmacies to get it checked:
#1: 112/75
#2: 121/66
#3: 107/78

I'm going to stop being concerned about my blood pressure. I'm 80.5 years old. In great physical shape. Eating right. Exercising every other day.

  1. George, for Mother's Day tomorrow, dear husband is preparing grilled salmon, shrimp, and corn on the cob. We don't get much fresh salmon here (just so expensive) in the Charleston, SC area, so it will be a treat. But we do get an abundance of fresh shrimp and other fish. You and I are so lucky to live on the Pacific and Atlantic coasts, respectively, so that we can enjoy all the great fresh seafood just off the boats. When visiting the Pacific coast, the only seafood I could not take a liking for was squid.

  3. Aaah the dilemma with eating right...In my opinion, I say eat whatever you want in moderation for the next second is not promised. Life is short. My parents, rest their souls, lacked veggies and calcium rich foods. They did not die of over eating but instead died of man made chemicals & natural causes. I eat everything but I also exercise and walk, hike etc. I only stay away from foods I don't like or for a specific reason i.e. e-coli outbreak of romaine lettuce. I'm staying away from leafy type salads/veggies for now until the coast is clear. I try not to eat out and cook my meals so I know what goes in it. So far so good. This is not to say what you are doing is wrong. Hope you reach your goal.

    1. Hi Dee,

If I want to lose belly fat, I MUST not add ANY salt to my food.

A good breakfast for me that leads to belly fat loss is:
      ➜ Scrambled egg
      ➜ Walnuts
      ➜ Berries

  4. HI George, just a thought about blood sugar. Maybe just a 3oz. protein snack instead of lunch? Will help your body avoid midday fatigue, and also the tendency to store more fat when the body thinks it's getting less to eat. Keep on!
