Leveled Out

7:16 am:
The Scampy Team is going to hang around Coeur d'Alene this morning. The streets here are sloped for proper drainage gradient. It's not comfortable to be inside Scampy when she is angled a lot.

An RV that is leveled on the street may bring attention by the local authority. We do not wish to attract that attention. For that reason, we do not usually level out.

But it is a gorgeous day in Coeur d'Alene! The temperature will be in the 60s by midday. And now that Scampy is leveled out, we may mess around here in comfort.

Isn't Scampy as cute as can be?

7:49am :
Living On The Streets
Hardly any RVers live on the streets. We on the Scampy RV Team do. Why do we do that?
➜ We are able to camp almost anywhere. No looking for an RV park.
➜ We are very good at street camping. We have been doing it since 2003!
➜ Would you be surprised to know that we are extremely comfortable living on the street?
➜ It's a whole lot cheaper than RV park camping!

Note: There are many stories about camping in our MsTioga Magazine. Take a look by clicking [Here].

10:30 am:
Señor Tránsito Ford Appointment
Tomorrow morning Tránsito goes for service at a Ford dealer in the Sandpoint Idaho area. We are heading up to Sandpoint now so that we will be close to the Ford dealer for our 9:30 am appointment tomorrow.

Tránsito has about 115,000 miles on his odometer. In addition to the standard stuff [Lubrication, change oil, etc] Ford service will be checking everything else!

1:30 pm:
Presents for Boid
I spotted a PetCo store in Ponderay Idaho and went there in order to buy Boid some birdseed.

Of course, PetCo has lots of other things to attract pet owners! I bought Boid a little green colored bath. Also, an edible bird perch [Of all things!]

It takes awhile for Baby Boid to
get used to new things in his cage!

4:01 pm:
Active and Fit Program
In yesterday's 7:10 pm Blog post, I wrote to you about joining the Active and Fit program.

I used Active and Fit for the first time today. The fitness club that I went to is a key entrance club. There were no employees there to open the door. One of the members let me in.

There is a learning curve here for using Active and Fit. I'll keep you apprised about using this program.

  1. Since 2003? That's some chunk of time! How many times have you been awakened & told to move?

    1. Hi Rob,

That happens. Not very often because I've developed expertise in street camping over-the-years.

The places where I choose to make a street Nite Camp are off the police radar. I am almost never contacted by the police unless somebody phones the police about me.

    1. Hi John,

You are right! The weather is very nice today.

Idaho has such beautiful forests. So many different kinds of very healthy trees in Idaho. California, by comparison, has mostly Ponderosa Pine forests. Also, California has very sickly appearing forests.

A guy from Idaho informed me that the State of Idaho permits logging of trees whereas California restricts logging considerably. He added, the careful logging of forests promotes healthy trees. The burning of forests does the same.

When a forest fire begins in California, the State goes all-out to stop that fire.

  5. Since you are in the area I recommend, when you are finished in Sandpoint, going on up Nwy 95 through Bonners Ferry and turning east on Hwy 2. Montana is just a few mi. to the east. Go into Mt. and afew more miles to the east is the Yaak river road. Follow it up into some of the most beautiful country you'll ever see.
