Six Star

8:00 am:
Señor Tránsito is in the Six Star Automotive shop this morning in order to have his leaky front left axle replaced.

We could have just replaced the axle's boot to save a little $money$. But we chose the entire axle with the boot.

Señor Tránsito in the shop.

George Fell Down!
Most persons get their balance from their ears. As I got older, my balance gradually went away. I've been checked by different doctors to find the cause of my loss of balance. None of my doctors could find that cause. I don't get dizzy with a loss of balance. I just become unsteady on my feet.

For several years, I have been getting my balance visually. When I am walking, my eyes tell me when I am off balance. That's the reason that when I walk after dark, I sometimes lose my balance.

Last Nite
I fell yesterday a bit after midnite while I was working to get Scampy's door secured [See my 06/20/2018 Blog (Click Here)].

I did not get dizzy. I just found myself out-of-balance to the rear. After several steps backward each step taking me more out-of-balance, I rolled backward landing on my back. The rear of my head struck sharp medium gravel stones in the parking lot.

The fall stunned me! I was not able to rise for a couple of minutes. Then the stunned feeling went away and I was able to get to my feet. I was bloody!

    2. Noooooo!!! Sorry I made that 'break a leg' comment. I thought that's what people say when they want all things to go well. I'm so sorry to hear you fell and hurt your head. My goodness George take care. Did you trip or lose your balance? In any case, take care.

    3. Hi Rita,

I believe that the saying, "Break A Leg" derives from an old superstition that wishing someone, "Good Luck" would bring that person bad luck!

So, wishing someone "Break A Leg" which is bad luck would bring that person good luck.

The logic of this escapes me. But there it is.

Please don'e be sorry. Did you see the little emoticon winking and smiling at you?

  3. Break a leg. ... That cliché is for actors and musicians
It's a superstition,, you do not wish an actor and musician good luck
Now falling down and hitting your head,,😱
No 🤔but that would be something that Mr.Dumpty would do
So we,ll get you some bandages 👳and put you back together
And you'll be,,,almost,,, as good as new
Even if it'll take all the kings 👑men and all the kings 🐎🐎horses to put Mr. Dumpty back together again,,

  6. A student fell the other day just turning around, he's 14 years old. Cracked his head open. Happens to people of all ages. Sure, we need to be careful but it's not a deathknell but a part of life. I´m glad you're okay and I hope you don't take the fall as something personal. Did I say this okay?

  9. George are you on (any)medications at all. Including aspirin ?

When you're sitting for any length of time and then you go to stand up while you're standing up do you get dizzy and unsteady for about a minute
Usually the two are caused by slow circulation
When you're in a parking lot on a bright sunny day have you ever tried to walk the parking lot line as a rule you should walk a straight line
when you do it on a dark night with a flashlight, does it becomes extremely difficult
that is usually the motor control between the eyes the ears and the brain

    1. Hi Ed,

Daily I take 50mg Trazodone [Sleeping], and 81mg aspirin.

Dizzy when going from sitting to standing?: Never.

      Unsteady?: All the time.

Walking a straight line?: I have not been able to do this for many years.

Your diagnosis mey be correct. If so, what may be done about it?

  11. George, Mister Ed is right. Since you fell backwards and did more than just bump your head on its backside, you may have a concussion that may not be visible to the naked eye. Such things can cause blurry vision, nausea, eventual headaches, etc. which interferes with driving. Driving is essential in your life. Check Boid in at a pet hotel for care while you are getting an MRI and treatment. He will have lots of fun with the other birds, maybe even find him a girlfriend! Ha! A pet store like Petco will have information for a good pet hotel.

  13. Even if you made it to the doctor today and they gave the okay for you head...
My relative fell and skinned himself and hit his head. No wound on head, but went to urgent care and got the leg/arm wounds taken care of. Within days he was having more problems and turned out to be a slow bleed in his brain from the head bump which required brain surgery. So, be mindful of any change in balance, thinking, coordination, etc over the next few days and get to the doctor immediately if so.
