7:30AM - Museum of the Oregon Territory.
We headed out from our Nite Camp, for the Museum of the Oregon Territory. The museum is located just a few hundred yards from the Willamette River.

MsTioga has made a Morning Camp in the museum's parking lot and has a remarkable view of the Willamette Falls. Would you believe that the falls are "turned off?" It is true, as you may see in the pic below. There is a construction project at the top of the falls, and the river is flowing thru the diversion now.

12 Noon - Touring the museum.
Little Mavicito took some really neat pics, and he is soooo excited to share them with you!

4PM - Celebrating Rosh Hashanah.
I have been invited for supper to the home of Terry & Dave Taylor in the Town of Beaverton, Oregon. At sundown today, begins Rosh Hashanah [Jewish New Year]. We will be celebrating Rosh Hashanah this evening.

Rosh Hashana and its companion, Yom Kippur, are the two most important holy days of the year for Jews. Yom Kippur is the Day of Atonement for sins committed during the past year and is observed ten days after Rosh Hashanah.

I have never met Terry who reads my blog or her husband Dave. It is a fantastic thing, that I am invited over to their home to celebrate this important holy day, and we have never met! We only know each other from email communication! Wow!

10PM - The food is fantastic!
Terry is a wonderful cook. And her food is soooooooo good! Man-O-Man! Roast beef brisket, potato latkes [pancakes], asparagus/carrots [sauteed], salad. And for dessert; ruglach [a wonderful rolled pastry with a date filling], a pastry cake and vanilla ice cream. All this food [even the ice cream], was prepared by Terry from scratch.

Afterwards, when I went to return to MsTioga for the nite, Terry prepared care packages for me to take. Roast beef with gravy, a bunch of ruglach and a container of her homemade ice cream. I am a very lucky guy!
