10AM - Thank God for MsTioga.
We have arrived in the City of Villahermosa. I do not know why, but this city is very confusing to me. I don't get the lay of this place. So, we decided to just find a place and make a Morning Camp and figure out Villahermosa later.

Thank God for MsTioga! Having her with me makes even confusing places into a home!

Discovering rice!
If you are a cook, you may find this admission incomprehensible. However, I have to admit that I've never prepared rice from scratch before. I've always used Rice-A-Roni, or some other rice preparation product.

The other day in a grocery, I happened to glance at the preparation instructions on a bag of rice. It struck me how similar these instructions were to those on a Rice-A-Roni box. So, I bought my first bag of rice!

Back in MsTioga, I followed the instructions. For flavor, I added a heaping tablespoon of chicken broth mix. In about 1/2 hour, the chicken flavored rice was done. And it is sooooooo good! Tender too!

My first rice!

Jesus Christ Super Star DVD.
While shopping at the large Chedraui store, we found the biblical rock opera, "Jesus Christ Super Star." Most of the motion picture DVDs sold in Mexico come with the sound in English. This DVD is not a knock-off. You may remember that readers took us to task for buying a knock-off DVD awhile back.

Humidity struck with a vengenance!
Around midnite, it got sooooooo moist inside MsTioga. Worst humidity since we returned to Mexico. Everything was wet. Doesn't seem to bother Little Boid though. He just sleeps thru the moisture.

Around 3am, the air began to get dry. It was amazing. Everything dried out and I was able to get some sleep. By the way, we are heading toward the Sierra Madre range and the City of Puebla to get some altitude to our Camps and hopefully a reduction of humidity. You may read about that in our updated 2008 Trip Plan
