Tiberias, Israel
We pulled out of Jerusalem at 12:30pm on an Egged bus bound for Tiberias, Israel. Only three hours later, we arrived in the City of Tiberias.

We are staying at the Astoria Hotel. From the window of our room, we are able to view the Sea of Galilee. Many people told us that this area would be hot and humid. However, it is very comfortable here. Warm, but not too warm and not at all humid.

5PM - Searching for supper
We began walking downhill toward the water looking for a restaurant for our supper. Until the hill leveled out, we found very few places. Then down a small street we came upon El Rancho, an Argentine style restaurant. What a find!

We ordered a meal for two. There were appetizers with a tahini dip. I especially loved the egg plant. Joe ordered a chicken empanada and I got chicken soup. Then came a platter of different meats, as you may see in the pic below. Lamb kebab, chicken, beef rib and a steak fillet!

Trip back to hotel
The El Rancho Restaurant is run by a family. Our waitress is the grand daughter of the founder. We asked how to bus back to our hotel, and our waitress told that she lived near our hotel. Then she asked if we would like to drive with them when her grandfather and she went home!

Isn't this the greatest thing?
