Ever since my friend John gave me that blood-glucose test a few weeks ago, I have changed the foods that I eat. Before that, I never paid much attention when I went to a grocery about what I bought. For example, in addition to the regular foods, I usually bought a couple of donuts. Also, I always bought cookies, Snickers, Hershey's Chocolate bars and stuff like that.
Now shopping is sooooooo different. I read the "nutrition facts" on everything. It is amazing to read about how much fat, sodium and carbohydrates there are in food. I find that it is very easy to make a choice that is so much more healthy for me and does not leave me craving for something else.
However, I do not feel that I am sacrificing food enjoyment. When I go out to eat for a hamburger, I do not order fries. And do not order soft drinks either. I do eat the bun!
5PM - Lightnin Jack's BBQ
My main food objective is to reduce carbohydrates. Lightnin Jack's BBQ serves a rack of ribs which are low in carbohydrates. Great!
