There is a song whose lyrics begin, "Imagination is crazy, your whole perspective gets hazy....". That's how I was yesterday. A little bit crazy. Because it is September. The month last year when David died.
I know what grieving is, and I have passed that by. Thoughts of David no longer depress me. And yet yesterday on the 1st day of September I was driving in MsTioga in the City of Fort Bragg. A man was walking on the sidewalk across the street. He looked just like David. As I got closer I stared at him. Was it David? Was David actually walking down the street here in Fort Bragg? Crazy? But that is how imagination is.
Movies about people coming back
I have been very attracted lately to movies about people who somehow come back from being dead. Please understand that I don't really believe that people return to life after dying. And yet?
- "Frequency" is a movie about a fireman who is killed while fighting a fire. Yet, thirty years after he dies, this fireman contacts his son using his old ham radio.
- "The Time Traveler's Wife" is a movie about a man who because of a genetic change travels thru time. There is a scene where after this man dies, he returns for a few moments to be with his wife and daughter.
- "Ghost" is the story about a man who is murdered. However he does not die completely. Somehow although this man cannot be seen or heard, he communicates with his wife.
My imagination is a bit crazy. What can I do? It is September.
