Vagabonding life2

8AM - The vagabonding life
What is so great about the vagabonding life?  Well, one of the greatest things happens at the very beginning of a gorgeous day.  On such a day, MsTioga is able to leave her Nite Camp and go the most beautiful site in the neighborhood.  And make a Morning Camp there.

We on the TiogaRV Team are vagabonds.  We may not be able to afford to live in the homes found around our Morning Camp.  But we can enjoy the neighborhood just the same!

Below is a pic captured by New Mavicita of MsTioga enjoying one her favorite Santa Cruz Camps. This Camp is on Almar Avenue where it meet West Cliff Avenue. Right at the top of Monterey Bay.

3PM - Affordable RVing
You may have noticed that in 2011, MsTioga and I have been staying in paid campgrounds much more than in prior years.  I have been eating much more in restaurants too.   Something that has raised my expenses have been medical costs.  I've had three medical operations.  One for prostate, an operation for hernia repair and a third operation for skin cancer.

Even though our expenses have been greater than income for most months this year, I've only had to dip into savings for about $3,000 in 2011.  Medicare has been pretty good to me.  My portion of medical expense in 2011 has been only about $2,000.

When I think about the fabulous life I lead with a pretty low income, I feel very fortunate.
