I'm relieved to know you are near San Diego and doing all right! Certainly can identify with the air conditioner comment----we are cooking in the DFW area! Take care of you. And please keep us posted. We NEED to know how you're doing.
Santee Lakes looks great on Google Earth, and only about a half hour from San Diego and all the parks you know so well. Sounds like perfect spot.
Maybe work out a plan where you could leave, stay a few nights in your favorite overnight spots in San Diego, and return to Santee Lakes, dump tanks, get fresh water and off again.
Google Earth seems to show some sites with trees and shade at Santee Lakes. Also likely cooler temps in nearby mountains?
Anyway, welcome back to the USA. Now you can also return to your favorite restaurants and drive-ins, etc.
Yes, I expect you can see I wish I was there rather than still here in Michigan on another rainy day. So many super places to visit and sunshine and warm weather. Wow!
I've stayed in Santee Lakes twice for a month each time. It's a really nice park and close to all the stores and restaurants. Love the weekend bar-b-que by the office and all the beautiful water birds. Yes, I really enjoyed it there. Enjoy your stay. :)
I'm sure the answer to the question about hits per day is explained by the fact that many of George's followers do what I do----check every single day to see if he has told us anything. We all want to know how he is; we were all blown away by what happened to him in Mexico. We are so hoping that--------somehow!--------he will be able to get a grip, and come back to keeping in touch regularly! There is a hole in the blogging community without George's input ...... He is much loved....
Hi George, We all miss you. I expect you may have tried to speak with Joe. You told us once he did not want to be mentioned. No blog makes me wonder. Whatever. We miss you.
Someone emailed me if I knew what has happened to George my reply:I don't know anymore than you, but I think its a shame that he acquired such a following of people that followed his travels and really cared for his well being and he has totally let them down.
Take a deep breath, Any Mouse. I would like to hear from George because I care about him. If you are a follower you will get an email when he posts again. He doesn't have to close his blog and you certainly don't have to hang around for his next post. Be kind.
OK George I am willing to go along with you up to a certain point...unless you are in a comma or dead, you should just let us know you are alive...just a quick note that is all...it does not take time, it does not kill you its just called CONSIDERATION and you will be respected by having done so...otherwise...
I used to follow George's blog and read it 3 or 4 time a week. However, I think he has gone off the deep end and is just playing mind games with all his loyal followers. For that reason, I am out!
Some of the comments I've read are a little sickening. To those who seem to believe George owes you something because you have followed his travels vicariously.....please get a life. We are all complex human beings. Whatever George may, or may not be going through now is only our business if he chooses to include us. If he does not choose to do so we, of course, will be disappointed, but it should end there. I wish George all the best, and if he chooses to update us on what is happening in his life we will be blessed, but if not my life will go on, and I will continue to live my life on the road thanks to George and his blog. He gave me the courage to take a chance and get on the road. After 21 months we couldn't be happier with our choice, and are so grateful to George for his leadership, and inspiration. God Bless you George!
You tell 'em Clarke. Some only feel BIG if they can belittle others. I wonder how much they "Paid" to come here for them to be "Owed" a window into a man's life? It's called "sharing" you can choose -to- or NOT -to-
You can Not be told, Honorably, that you MUST share, that you have no choice... hmmm... that kinda flows into other things don't it? ;)
OK people...just HOW MANY friends or relatives or others whom you have been in contact for years and just vanish off the grid...just like that ? Would you not be worried or search for them or wonder why in the world they do not at least give you some news ?
daWolf here:...appears that George has figured out "da same sht" that I did a couple years ago...sit in "one place long enough", things grow silly....George's case: he kept "publishing daily blogs (sat in one place)"...and the "minnions" decided that they "own" him....sad,silly, and assinine....but...it is "what happens"....George is/was/and always will be welcome around lonewolf's campfire...his turn to bring the PBR next time...hee hee!
George doesn't "owe" us anything - nothing! Having said that, though, it would be nice to know how he is doing. I have followed George (largely passively) since 2004 and like many readers, do care about his well-being. I hope he is healthy in all respects and that he is just taking some down time for himself.
Howdy George - On my blog I must moderate the comments. I do not post any that are negative or demeaning. If you give those creeps attention they just get bolder - just like a bully on the playground. If they do not get attention they go away, otherwise they get louder and louder.
It's your blog - do what you please - you do NOT owe anyone anything. That includes updates and published comments.
Hope all is well and I will certainly be here when you update again!!
All of you George doesn't owe anybody anything, why do you keep coming back to see if he has posted, because you expect him to do then right thing and a caring considerate person would update with how he is doing with followers who have been following him for years and care about what is happening to him.
Follow the money........ The way it works is, we watch George's blog and he gets money from Google Ad Sense. That plus Social Security has kept him afloat until.......? So, a brief explanation from him would be courteous. He has been watching/deleting comments here along. Turns out, he was just using us for the Google income until he didn't need the hassle. ( I suspect he will delete this also!)
daWolf again: George is too polite a person to comment to this...I ain't..."Fck You!...and all the horses that you think that you rode in here with!"
George started his blog back in the days when "this sht" was "new"...He didn't grasp the "full extent" of what "it's full extent" would really become (neither did I with my "meanderings of wanderwolf")...It's "one thing" thinking yer sending an "update" to family (and friends) and another where ya discover a whole "universe of strangers" are also now added to the mix...I'm personally, very surprised that George has/had actually "kept it up" for as long as he did. You azzwipes need to "get a life" of yer own!
I am appalled at the mean-spirited comments I see here. After all George has given us over a ten-year span, this is what he gets for thanks? What is wrong with you people?
George has shared more than any of us, and all of it has been positive. He opened up his heart when he was in the deepest valley, a heartbreak more brutally painful than most of us ever will experience. He doesn't deserve cutting remarks. Apologies are in order, but in my experience they never come from high-and-mighty criticizers.
What a shame that George's gift to us has been received with such hostility by the dregs of humanity who wrote the mean comments above. You make me sick.
George, I will forever be grateful for the vision you gave me that transformed my life. I hope you are in a place of comfort and encouragement and in the company of those who respect and love you.
George is a "treasure" I've had the pleasure of meeting/getting to know him "personally"... reading his blog (10 years ago) changed my life (and direction)...I never thought that I would "meet" the man...but, I did a few years ago....He came thru Ajo...and looked me up. I am "blessed" because "Brother George" stopped by.
As with you, I am "grateful" for having been blessed by George's "vision" that also transformed my life...my "thinking" and...the way that I now approach life "in general".
Very well said, Sue. Unfortunately, with the anonymity that the Internet affords, some people write things that they would never say face to face. If George is reading these comments, I sincerely wish that he would remove all of the comments above and remove the ability to post future comments also.
You don't understand what Hotel California said. He meant "anonymity" as in nobody here knows who Phil Beukema is, which is a form of anonymity. This anonymity allows you to write unkind messages practically no chance your family, friends, employer, pastor, etc. will see them.
Dear George, I hope life is getting better and even fine. I would love a note that lets me know how you are doing but if you can't do that....well.....know that I still think of you and hope you are doing well and enjoying CA.
George, miss seeing an update from you and hope that will happen for we loyal followers. Also wanted to ask if you have heard from your friend Dave Dods - he hasn't posted since July -hoping and praying his health issues are under
Amazing how some people have the time/interest to read these comments for the sole purpose of criticizing George. They are so quick to cast stones at him. Some of those same people did nothing but criticize what he said when he was posting. And now that he isn't posting, they complain about that.
George shared his life with us for 10 years. The ups and the downs. I learned quite a few lessons from him. I especially hold on to his lesson about "perspective". "If you don't like what you see, move" was one statement. Some readers need to do just that.
For the many reading this who DO CARE about George, as I do.......... I sent him an email on 9/27/13. Let him know how much I would love to know what's going on. He answered me that same day. Said that he is doing all right, but that his days as an active blogger are over. That all things have to end, "sooner or later". I thanked him for letting me know something. And I accept his decision.
Some of the comments here make me think it's best for him to stay away. As for those who want him to close the blog, so we can't at least communicate with each other about him. Please. Go away! Wishing only the best for my dear friend, George.
1st: RunNRose, thank you for letting us know George is ok. He left us after such a tramatic incident that we were all so worried about him. We need a slow let down after following his life for so long. We all care about him. 2nd: Maybe George could give someone else the control of choosing which comments are published here . That way we wouldn't have to have bad feelings against insensitive jerks...and maybe we could get an update on George every few months or so.
We love George, and have been following him almost from the start. He inspired me to become a full-timer (6 years now), and I always shared my morning coffee with his comments. I sure miss him and the team, but respect his decision not to maintain the blog. I still go here a couple of times a day just to see. Love you George, Steve & Carol
Those words describe perfectly YOUR comment. George has better things to do than try to meet YOUR needs for attention. Goodness, didn't RV Sue give you enough? You seem like a two-year-old. And a spoiled one at that! Sad that you spend so much of your time on Earth focused on negativity. Can't you find something better to do? Are you practicing what you are preaching that George should do? Thinking of the other person??????
RunNRose or what ever your real name is, I've sent George more money when he was struggling than you can imagine. Keep your uninformed thoughts to yourself.
Phil Beukema, or whatever your real name is, you sound like my grandmother. Every time she helped anyone in anyway she expected eternal gratitude. Everything she did was a bribe. I'm sure George is sorry for that $13.45 you sent him.
Well Nancy 1340, I've really never heard of a number bring a last name but whatever. Your decimal point is way off in your post. But I'm sure you were there for George before he got Google's Ad Sense paying him regularly. You are just one of many stalkers posting here. No wonder George snuck out the back door. Maybe you chased him off yourself.
Boy, you guys really told me. I feel bad now. I'm having lunch with George Wednesday. I'll be sure to let him know the stalkers are still out in force and to lay low.
When we followed his blog faithfully and clicked on the ads and provided his income before the insurance money bonanza, did he call us "stalkers" then? Just wondering.
I just want to say that I've tremendously enjoyed this blog, and I thank George for creating this. I believe it has inspired many people (including myself) to consider th possibilities of a different, extraordinary life. If this is the conclusion of his blogging endeavors, so be it. It was a great journey and I feel privileged to have been able to read it. So again I say... Thank you!
Yeah! I started following George in Spring 2004. It has been a part of my daily routine. My wife & I full-timed, not because of George, but saw that George was experiencing some of the same joys, excitement, frustrations and self-satisfaction that we were experiencing. We chose to settle down near grandkids and family and have never regretted either decision. Wife and I agree that our years on the road were spectacular, unforgettable. However, now when we miss the freedom, sense of adventure, the excitement of the unknown, of the open roads, we fall back on this axiom: We would rather be with our family, wishing we were "on the road" than to be "on the road" wishing we were with family.
George (and the true TG followers), I wish you Godspeed, old friend!
interesting to say the least. Many people supported George when he had no money and needed the adsense money to keep traveling. Now he doesn't need the money he made that abundantly clear. 'He could at least said thank you and goodbye for all the years of loyal support. Just plain rude.
Get over yourself! The man has gone through a terrible shock, finding two people shot in the head, which must have brought the worst pain to the surface.
Only jerks give money and then expect certain treatment in return. Let the man go! Let him recover! He doesn't owe you one cent or one second more of his time!
Scroll down the list on the right-hand side of this page. Every item represents an essay. When you have written an essay every day for ten years, then maybe you will have something people want to read.
I repeat: George doesn't owe you anything. You, however, owe George an apology.
Still checking in, just in case George has reconnected.
I hope all is well with George and that his life has turned as he chose. He's been a good example of being in charge of ones own destiny and I'm grateful for the time and knowledge he's invested in his blog. Hope to see you again, George. Regardless, God Bless.
RV sue you're an ass and a leech on society. George was supported here, support he asked for, support people gave. A simple thank you and good bye is nothing more then common courtesy and clearly not too much to ask for years of support from all these people. George wrote those "essays" because HE WANTED SOMETHING FROM THEM. He wanted adsense money. It's that simple and he wrote in those "essays" that he wanted and needed that money.
I hope George is doing ok, I really don't care if he needed a break from the blog of what he has been doing. I did like seeing things from his point of view. All I really would like to know is that he is doing ok.
I have lost a lot to cancer, sister, and sister in law. Seeing someone survive, and then have such adventures helped me more than I even knew.
Fifty years ago, like today, a Friday, at the hour that I write this, President Kennedy was arriving at Dallas Love Field. I was 16 miles away from Dealey Plaza returning to classes at (now) Univ. of Texas at Arlington when radio station KLIF interrupted their normal programming to report that shots had been fired in the vicinity of the presidential motorcade. By the time I got to the SUB (Student Union Bldg.) the reports stated that the President had been shot. Looking like the fool everyone thought I was, as I entered the SUB, I shouted out "the President had been shot!". Most students looked up and then went back to eating their lunches or playing Bridge and ignored the fool.
Quickly the word was spreading around the campus and the look of shock and horror was everywhere. I had a 1pm Chemistry lab that I went to but after 5-10 minutes the prof excused the class. It was then that we all learned the awful result of the shooting.
That evening, my girl friend and I drove over to the site of the shooting and there were thousands of people milling around Dealey Plaza, all sorts of emotions were being played out, as you can imagine. We went to see a movie in one of those classic downtown theaters. Before the movie, the organist rose up thru the floor playing God Bless America and then a bugler played Taps. Not a dry eye in the house!
Fifty years ago today, America lost its innocence.
I doubt you remember me, but my husband and i met you in a restaurant in Guatemala. Our talk really resonated in my heart, i told my mom about it and she has committed to praying for you on a very regular basis. It seems as though you may be going through a hard time right now, and i want you to know that 2 years later the God of heaven and of earth had placed you on our hearts because you are always on his. know that you are thought of and truth is looking for you too.
George I am sorry that we are unable to hear from you, but I want to wish you the best, and may God take you by the hand and guide you in all of the right directions.
Let me get this straight... People who clicked on ads on George's blog and bought something from a company and then received a product like when you go to a store... These people say they GAVE something to George? Could someone explain how shopping online constitutes a gift to George?
Obviously you're clueless on how the ads work. George asked, repeatedly, for people to click on the links, you click on the link George gets paid. That's how adsense works. You don't have to buy anything. The people didn't have an interest in the ads they did it to support Georgia and help him fund his adventures.
I remember George asking people NOT to click on the ads just to get him money because Google would cancel the account if they found someone trolling for clicks so I would appreciate it if you would point out the blog entry where he did that
like this -->http://blog.vagabonders-supreme.net/2010/07/google-adsense.html where George was worried that too many clicks could gget his account suspended so he shut it off for a while. I think creeper is truth-challenged
Let's go to the truth. People started just clicking and clicking. When you click 2 dozen or so links on one site Google is smart enough to know someone is stuffing the ballot box. On one hand George asked for reader to click ads, but asked to stop when readers did it too much. ntar827 confirms George asked readers to click ads, he did not ask readers to click all the ads. I think you're just stupid and haven't read this blog from the start.
To quote George,"Note to readers about Google AdSense Ads. Please only click on the AdSense ads if you are truly interested in the product advertised. I understand that you may want to help out. However, this is not fair to the advertisers who pay for our ads." Seems he's asking to click ads. At least he was honest enough and tried not to stuff the box, he also knew his account would get suspended.
Phil you're correct about RVsue. We had to misfortune to camp near her. At the time I didn't know who it was, but the strange combination of her rig and he obnoxious camping behavior made her stick in my mind. IT wasn't until sometime later she came up in conversation at a campground and a consensus of how rude she was. She pulled into the same campground and our first indication that she was there was these non stop barking dogs, followed by a pair of dogs racing through our campground. She thinks it's cute. Then I get up early one mooring to photograph some wild life, all decked out in camo, large lens and sitting quietly. As I'm getting a great shot of they elk here comes the crew barking wildly and off leash. Needless to say my shots where ruined. The nonstop barking and running off leash was a daily occurrence. We spoke to the ranger about her and he said he had gotten lots of complaints and until he witnesses it he couldn't ticket her. FYI, she doesn't pick up after her dogs so If you get a campsite after her watch out for doggy land mines. The funny part is that she complains incessantly on her website about others behaviors.
How strange. As much as she complains about other people I would have thought she would be a joy to camp near.
I think if I were camped near her I'd go around and pick up all the dodo's and put it on her step. With pressure. Not to be mistaken for with pleasure. ;-)
I have checked in on RV Sue since she started and she has become all about ME, I just check in to find new places to camp as we do a lot of boondocking.
Nancy I agree you'd think she'd be aware of her own conduct, but as things go she's a nightmare. She constantly complains about others ruining her peace, but then thinks it's funny when her dogs run over to the neighbors and pee on his truck. Just read her blog and she thinks her dogs are "making friends" when they go running into another camp. Most people are polite and just put on a front or that's how it was when I had the misfortune of running into her. Not many tell her to leash her dogs and stop the incessant barking. She makes no secret of her dogs running loose off leash. She thinks that's okay and there is a portion of rude dog owners who think it's all about them and their little "babies".
Creeper711.....your online handle seems an appropriate description of your creepy, thoughtless, arrogant posts. You seem like the kind of guy who waits for backs to be turned before saying what's on his/her mind. Your propensity for believing you know what is in somebody's mind, or heart is remarkably shallow and narcissistic......CREEP on I say, CREEP on.
Clarke is that the best you got? Nothing but a blathering of personal insults? It's not uncommon for a business to thank it's supporters for supporting them for so many years. Calling someone out for being rude is nothing more then that. A simple "thank you" is common courtesy.
And here you are, THREE months after George stopped blogging still complaining that he didn't say bye. Anyone with any maturity would have moved on by now, but you keep on complaining, complaining, complaining. Time to grow up and move along Creep
Sad to say Be987 you must suffer from a mental disease that keeps you from actually reading the posts dates. Then you would have noticed I haven't been here for 3 months complaining. Hopefully in the new year you'll get some help for you mental issues.
The date at the top is September 8, is it not? Is it not 3 months since that post? Or is your ever-evident stupidity so overwhelming that you've lost the ability to do simple math? Grow up, grow a pair, and move on with your life. You aren't wanted here
Da Wolfie Dude: Like I said down thru this quagmire of comments: I like George; I started reading his blog years ago; He changed my life for "the better"...I've even had the pleasure of him "stopping by" and sharing a morning with me.
Well, with your choice of words, "other azzholes", I have absolutely no desire to "get to know you" or "spend time with you". You are what you speak! Amazing....
Good to hear that you're alright.
ReplyDeleteyay, George!

ReplyDeleteGeorge is obviously reading the comments. Seems to me you should keep a blog up to date or close it.
ReplyDeleteBest reply yet.

ReplyDeleteLet George live HIS life.
He owes you nothing.
George is living his life. Keep the blog current or close it. Dont keep people hanging wondering when he will post again.

DeleteGeorge started his blog back in the days when "this sht" was "new"...He didn't grasp the "full extent" of what "it's full extent" would really become (neither did I with my "meanderings of wanderwolf")...It's "one thing" thinking yer sending an "update" to family (and friends) and another where ya discover a whole "universe of strangers" are also now added to the mix...I'm personally, very surprised that George has/had actually "kept it up" for as long as he did.
You azzwipes need to "get a life" of yer own!
I am appalled at the mean-spirited comments I see here. After all George has given us over a ten-year span, this is what he gets for thanks? What is wrong with you people?
ReplyDeleteGeorge has shared more than any of us, and all of it has been positive.
RVSue
RV Sue, I agree wholeheartedly with you...
DeleteGeorge is a "treasure" I've had the pleasure of meeting/getting to know him "personally"... reading his blog (10 years ago) changed my life (and direction)...I never thought that I would "meet" the man...but, I did a few years ago....He came thru Ajo...and looked me up. I am "blessed" because "Brother George" stopped by.
As with you, I am "grateful" for having been blessed by George's "vision" that also transformed my life...my "thinking" and...the way that I now approach life "in general".
George , wherever you are,"I Love Ya, Dude!".....

ReplyDeleteHey Sue,
ReplyDeleteThe guest of honor at his party should say good by when he leaves, not sneak out the back door!
Glad I'm not a mean-spirited cynic like you who gets pleasure causing pain to others
DeleteVery well said, Sue. Unfortunately, with the anonymity that the Internet affords, some people write things that they would never say face to face. If George is reading these comments, I sincerely wish that he would remove all of the comments above and remove the ability to post future comments also.
ReplyDeleteAnonymous????
ReplyDeleteIsn't Hotel California anonymous compared to a person's name being used in the profile??
Typical.....
You don't understand what Hotel California said. He meant "anonymity" as in nobody here knows who Phil Beukema is, which is a form of anonymity. This anonymity allows you to write unkind messages practically no chance your family, friends, employer, pastor, etc. will see them.
Delete"with" practically . . . sorry
ReplyDeleteWeird interpretation.....Want a resume or something?
ReplyDeleteIt's not a "weird interpretation." It's the third definition according to Merriam-Webster: "lacking individuality, distinction, or recognizability"
DeleteIn other words no one will recognize you, so you can be cruel with abandon.
And that's all the time I'm going to waste trying to educate you. Goodbye.
You had to go to the THIRD definition. Ha!
ReplyDeleteHow about the FIRST.. "Not named or identified"
Educate yourself before you try to educate others.
Dear George,
ReplyDeleteI hope life is getting better and even fine. I would love a note that lets me know how you are doing but if you can't do that....well.....know that I still think of you and hope you are doing well and enjoying CA.
George, miss seeing an update from you and hope that will happen for we loyal followers. Also wanted to ask if you have heard from your friend Dave Dods - he hasn't posted since July -hoping and praying his health issues are under
ReplyDeletecontrol
ReplyDeleteControl: Is this what he is learning from his latest Guru.
ReplyDeleteI started reading George around 2006. I have a email from him dated 5/7/2006. I am going to miss him if he isn't with us anymore.
ReplyDeleteI miss you George, I hope you are well. If you need some help I am in Oceanside, CA. I will keep checking your posts here.
ReplyDeleteAmazing how some people have the time/interest to read these comments for the sole purpose of criticizing George. They are so quick to cast stones at him. Some of those same people did nothing but criticize what he said when he was posting. And now that he isn't posting, they complain about that.
ReplyDeleteGeorge shared his life with us for 10 years.
ReplyDelete2nd: Maybe George could give someone else the control of choosing which comments are published here .
ReplyDeleteIt's not that people don't appreciate what George has done in his blog. It's just a Bull Shit way to end it.
ReplyDeleteThose words describe perfectly YOUR comment. George has better things to do than try to meet YOUR needs for attention. Goodness, didn't RV Sue give you enough? You seem like a two-year-old. And a spoiled one at that! Sad that you spend so much of your time on Earth focused on
Deletenegativity. Can't you find something better to do? Are you practicing what you are preaching that George should do? Thinking of the other person??????
RunNRose or what ever your real name is, I've sent George more money when he was struggling than you can imagine. Keep your uninformed thoughts to yourself.
ReplyDeletePhil Beukema, or whatever your real name is, you sound like my grandmother. Every time she helped anyone in anyway she expected eternal gratitude. Everything she did was a bribe.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure George is sorry for that $13.45 you sent him.
ReplyDeletePhil or whatever, you're a real A--hole!
ReplyDeleteEverybody needs ONE! Unfortunately, some have more than their share!
ReplyDeleteBoy, you guys really told me. I feel bad now. I'm having lunch with George Wednesday. I'll be sure to let him know the stalkers are still out in force and to lay low.
ReplyDeleteWhen we followed his blog faithfully and clicked on the ads and provided his income before the insurance money bonanza, did he call us "stalkers" then? Just wondering.
DeleteFine. And when you do you can repeat to him what a bullshit way to quit his blog and how ungrateful he is to you for all the money you've given him.
ReplyDeleteWill do Buckaoo!
ReplyDeleteNothing like a troll.
ReplyDeleteI just want to say that I've tremendously enjoyed this blog, and I thank George for creating this. I believe it has inspired many people (including myself) to consider th possibilities of a different, extraordinary life. If this is the conclusion of his blogging endeavors, so be it. It was a great journey and I feel privileged to have been able to read it. So again I say... Thank you!
ReplyDeletewell I guess you devout TG followers would have no problem drinking the lemonade!
ReplyDeleteBy the gallon, Comitan
ReplyDeleteI took this extraordinary trip with George from day one,and was happy to be part of it. THANK YOU GEORGE
ReplyDeleteYeah!
ReplyDeleteGeorge (and the true TG followers), I wish you Godspeed, old friend!
interesting to say the least. Many people supported George when he had no money and needed the adsense money to keep traveling. Now he doesn't need the money he made that abundantly clear. 'He could at least said thank you and goodbye for all the years of loyal support. Just plain rude.
ReplyDeleteGet over yourself! The man has gone through a terrible shock, finding two people shot in the head, which must have brought the worst pain to the surface.
ReplyDeleteOnly jerks give money and then expect certain treatment in return.
ReplyDeleteI hope all is well with George and that his life has turned as he chose.
ReplyDelete"Never try to wrestle with a pig. You'll get dirty and the pig likes it."
ReplyDeleteI hope George is doing ok, I really don't care if he needed a break from the blog of what he has been doing. I did like seeing things from his point of view. All I really would like to know is that he is doing ok.
ReplyDeleteI have lost a lot to cancer, sister, and sister in law.
ReplyDeleteQuickly the word was spreading around the campus and the look of shock and horror was everywhere.
Hey George,
ReplyDeleteI doubt you remember me, but my husband and i met you in a restaurant in Guatemala.

ReplyDeleteWhat a crazy joke!
Creeper 711, yes RV Sue is a piece of work! The something in return is a little common courtesy which I'm sure she has never heard of.
ReplyDeleteBetter to be a piece of work than a piece of crap Phil/creeper/comitan
DeleteHey Phil......how was your lunch with George? You neglected to tell us all about!
ReplyDeleteReally missing you George. Hope all is well with you and you have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving George, hope you have a fun place to go and celebrate. We love you. Steve & Carol
ReplyDeleteGeorge I am sorry that we are unable to hear from you, but I want to wish you the best, and may God take you by the hand and guide you in all of the right directions.
ReplyDeleteLet me get this straight... People who clicked on ads on George's blog and bought something from a company and then received a product like when you go to a store... These people say they GAVE something to George? Could someone explain how shopping online constitutes a gift to George?
ReplyDeleteSue,
ReplyDeleteDont play this game. Ignore the trolls.
Obviously you're clueless on how the ads work. George asked, repeatedly, for people to click on the links, you click on the link George gets paid. That's how adsense works. You don't have to buy anything. The people didn't have an interest in the ads they did it to support Georgia and help him fund his adventures.
ReplyDeleteI remember George asking people NOT to click on the ads just to get him money because Google would cancel the account if they found someone trolling for clicks so I would appreciate it if you would point out the blog entry where he did that
DeleteI also remember when George asked that we not click unless interested.
DeleteNick
like this -->http://blog.vagabonders-supreme.net/2010/07/google-adsense.html where George was worried that too many clicks could gget his account suspended so he shut it off for a while. I think creeper is truth-challenged
DeleteLet's go to the truth.
DeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
DeleteTo quote George,"Note to readers about Google AdSense Ads.
DeleteI don't see you pointing out where he DID ask for clicks only quoting where he asked for people to follow the Google rules. So I stand by my comment
DeletePhil you're correct about RVsue.
ReplyDeleteHow strange. As much as she complains about other people I would have thought she would be a joy to camp near.
DeleteI think if I were camped near her I'd go around and pick up all the dodo's and put it on her step. With pressure. Not to be mistaken for with pleasure. ;-)
I have checked in on RV Sue since she started and she has become all about ME, I just check in to find new places to camp as we do a lot of boondocking.
DeleteNancy I agree you'd think she'd be aware of her own conduct, but as things go she's a nightmare.
DeleteSomeone who lives close to Santee Lakes Campground go over and check on him. Some of us would like to know if he is ok.
ReplyDeleteWhat makes you think he is still there?
ReplyDeleteCreeper711.....your online handle seems an appropriate description of your creepy, thoughtless, arrogant posts. You seem like the kind of guy who waits for backs to be turned before saying what's on his/her mind. Your propensity for believing you know what is in somebody's mind, or heart is remarkably shallow and narcissistic......CREEP on I say, CREEP on.
ReplyDeleteClarke is that the best you got? Nothing but a blathering of personal insults? It's not uncommon for a business to thank it's supporters for supporting them for so many years. Calling someone out for being rude is nothing more then that. A simple "thank you" is common courtesy.
ReplyDeleteAnd here you are, THREE months after George stopped blogging still complaining that he didn't say bye. Anyone with any maturity would have moved on by now, but you keep on complaining, complaining, complaining. Time to grow up and move along Creep
DeleteSad to say Be987 you must suffer from a mental disease that keeps you from actually reading the posts dates. Then you would have noticed I haven't been here for 3 months complaining. Hopefully in the new year you'll get some help for you mental issues.
DeleteThe date at the top is September 8, is it not? Is it not 3 months since that post? Or is your ever-evident stupidity so overwhelming that you've lost the ability to do simple math? Grow up, grow a pair, and move on with your life. You aren't wanted here
DeleteDa Wolfie Dude: Like I said down thru this quagmire of comments: I like George; I started reading his blog years ago; He changed my life for "the better"...I've even had the pleasure of him "stopping by" and sharing a morning with me.
ReplyDeleteThe man is/was worth my time to "get to know"...
how many of you "other azzholes" are???
Well, with your choice of words, "other azzholes", I have absolutely no desire to "get to know you" or "spend time with you". You are what you speak! Amazing....
ReplyDeleteThe creeps are taking this dead blog over. Sad.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas George, I hope you are having a blast.
ReplyDeleteMiss you, Warren (WAGM--eieio
Hi George, Merry Christmas, let us know you are okay.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas George!!
ReplyDeleteMr. Lehrer - Wishing you a joyous and peaceful holiday.
ReplyDeleteA long time blog reader,
Jerald Pendleton
Merry Christmas, George!
ReplyDeleteAll we want for Christmas George, is to know you are alright. Just blog... I am doing fine. K?
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas
Incredibly strange that George remains silent. Has anyone heard from him?
ReplyDeleteNot strange in the slightest. He has made it clear that he wants to be left alone.
ReplyDeleteReally? Then why did he post a Christmas greeting? Like he didn't know his greeting would not generate many responses?
