Voyage of Laura Dekker

I just watched the movie, "Maidentrip". This is the fantastic video story of Laura Dekker, a  fourteen year old girl who sailed around the world alone in her own boat! Laura began her trip on the 21st of August, 2010.

Guppy is home
Laura named her sailboat, "Guppy." During Laura's voyage video, she mentions that Guppy is home for her. Wow!

That is exactly how I felt about MsTioga when we were traveling together. No matter where I travelled, I was always home.

There comes a time in the life of every vagabond, when the traveling part of the journey comes to an end. No getting away from that ending day. While I was a vagabond and still traveling, that ending day hung out there like a beacon in front of my eyes. Hazy was that beacon. But always there.

It was never with dread that I considered the ending of my own vagabonding journey. Instead, it is simply part of my life. Now my apartment at Guava Gardens is home.
