4pm - Jojobian Mike arrived at Guava Gardens to pickup our electric bike, Mariner7. We are selling Mariners7 because it's becoming increasingly evident that my riding a bicycle is more and more dangerous for me as time goes by.
Mariner7 came aboard the team in 2013. I have really loved my many trips with mariner7. He is a great guy. I know that I will miss him.
Note:
I wanted to post a picture here of Mike, the fellow who bought my bike. But there is no way that I have found the locate the pictures that my iPhone took.
My Mac air is in apples repair shop. And that means I have to use an iPad to produce my blog. This is almost a ridiculous task. The iPad is so slow. The iPad is a machine that is almost insignificant in usefulness compared to a Mac air.
It is my opinion, that if the fastest iPad user the world had ever seen, tried to reproduce the book of Job and was racing the fastest Mac air operator the world has ever seen, the Mac air person would finish in perhaps a day while the iPad person would probably die of old age before finishing!!!!
7pm - this morning I was out in the flower garden watering the pots of flowers I bent over to pick up something in the next thing I knew I was down on the floor lying on the concrete sprawl around the pots of flowers and other stuff that ice smashed into that word ice should be I. I bruise my lower right rib and it hurts like mad. It's not broken or anything just hurts. Very uncomfortable.
The Mac air should be back from Apple about the first of next week. The mac's hard Drive went down and only withheld from some Mac forum was I able to restore the Mac so I could use it.
Irestored The Mac but had to put all the data from the Time Machine on 2 terabyte external drive. This afternoon I went to Apple stores genius bar and that was when I found out that my Mac have a down hard drive which need a replacement.
Now I'm stuck trying to publish with the blog with an iPad which is a little like trying to build the Eiffel tower with a pen !!!!
I thought you were pondering a new bike within the last 2 weeks.
ReplyDeleteHi David,
DeleteMaybe I did ponder. But the end result of that pondering was that I decided it was too dangerous for me to continue biking.
When I arrive at Jojoba Hills, I will probably buy a golf cart.
Tioga George
.
It would be more responsible for me to buy a golf cart.
That is very frightening about your fall. I hope you recover quickly
ReplyDeleteI really didn't hurt myself badly just bruised my lower ribs actually only one rib. So I'm really not recovering from anything big it's just recovering from a bruise
DeleteI wonder why you had such a upsetting fall. Were you lightheaded?
ReplyDeleteFor me is part of the aging process. It's not being lightheaded or anything with vertigo
DeleteI'm glad the fall didn't cause any lasting damage!
ReplyDeleteBuh bye, Mariner!
Thank you
DeleteProbably a good choice to sell you bike.
ReplyDeleteIt will be nice to get your Mac back. If mine goes away I can use my wife's windows computer, but much prefer my Mac after switching 7 years ago. Good luck, and nice you have a back up with your time machine.
That Time Machine backup was a lifesaver!
DeleteGeorge, Ha! I got a kick out of your using the book of Job as an example of how slow your iPad is if it had to reproduce Job and how fast your MacAir would do the same reproduction. If you remember the story of Job in the Bible, God put Job through many trials and tribulations to test his faith, and Job endured them with great patience (but not without some complaining) and kept his faith. Hence, George may be complaining a little about iPad, but he is enduring with patience.
