A safe choice is where I live most likely in a senior apartment as I am now in Guava Gardens. Some years later, who knows when, they will take me to a hospital.
After that hospital, they will take me to a convalescent or senior geriatric hospital. At this place somebody will come by my bed several times a day to check if I have soiled myself. If it's a potty, they will clean my bottom. Then wheel me back to my bed. Fabulous!
My not safe choice, perhaps a dangerous choice, would mean that sometimes I fall down on my face, break some bones, really get hurt. Maybe real bad hurt!
Both of these choices end me up in the same place. Dead! But it is HOW I get there that makes all the difference!!!

Best to live life a little than to wish you had. Do it while you still can.
ReplyDeleteHi OAT,

I'm with you, George. No matter what you eliminate from your diet; how much you exercise or avoid gluten and fats, you're still going to do die like the rest of us. Everything in moderation. Since I'm going to die one day anyway, I'd rather go doing what I enjoy rather than sitting around waiting for someone to spoon feed me and change my diaper. I'd prefer to just go ahead and punch my ticket and get outta here with my dignity still intact.
ReplyDeleteYes that is so true, lets just do it and enjoy the whatever time we have left to the fullest !
DeleteI agree with you too, 1000%.

Why did I stop RVing?
ReplyDeleteHave you followed my Blog for a very long time? For years?
Do you know the answer to "Why did I stop RVing?"
I'll give you some hints:
It's not because MsTioga got wrecked.
It's not because of my age.
It is not because I got tired of being an RVer.
It is not a $money$ issue.
So, what is the thing that made me stop RVing? Hmmmmm?
[Nobody on The Team believes that you will ever, ever guess the right answer.]
I do believed you only revealed part of it,,, and that some have come close. to your question?????
If One would gather it to be a health issue
However Mr. G has purchased an RV membership a movable RV and has (will ) be moving into an spectacular fiting his needs RV resort so Mister G hasn't Given up the RV lifestyle only the Mobile portion of it
So if it is health related you just change your lifestyle to work with it and around it
where are we going on our next vacation
! Hi Mr. Ed,
DeleteI,? am going to confide in you and let you in on the secret. I had a medical problem after heart surgery which prevented me from being active and the way I normally behave .

George, it may seem confusing to you, but to me... it would be nice for you to live in a trailer at a resort, for you'll have your own space, plus you'll have all the things to do, that you can do at the resort. And, it may/may not be anymore expensive than living where you are currently living. I'll keep praying. Blessings, Lynn

I have been a Tioga & George reader for about 10 years and have never posted publicly but I need to say this. I agree with George's post today with an exception and that is when your taking risks not to put others at risk. Also I just love the picture with today's post, it has to be my favorite.
ReplyDelete"when your taking risks not to put others at risk..." too broad of a statement. I agree to a certain extent but you could also say that about a kid learning to drive, etc. How about a calculated risk? George has a good head on his shoulders and is thoughtful and considerate of others. He won't deliberately put others in harm's way.
DeleteHi George, I am going to try to give you some variety in the comments you get. How about if I retired and lived in my Winnebago full time and wrote a blog you enjoyed reading? Unlikely but something to think about for both of us. Like I have been saying: I am sure you will figure out the right thing to do and I hope you are having fun.

So glad you decided to move out of Guava Gardens before your lot at Jojoba Hills becomes available. Actually I thought you had been a member of SKP's for a long time. Welcome aboard.
