Day 7
Nite Camp Style
The pic below is where we made our Nite Camp. It's about a mile southeast of the center of San Ardo. It is sooooo quiet here on this lovely Sunday morning!

11:20am - Boid loves veggies!
As you may imagine, the area around the Town of San Ardo is mostly agricultural based.
This morning as we drove, we came upon a field of some kind of green leaf veggie. I tasted it. Couldn't identify?
When that green leaf was placed into Boid's cage, he began eating it! I was surprised at how much Boid loved eating that leaf!
John & Mimi have told me that their budgies love veggies! Now I know that Boid is a "Bird of a feather!"

Boid says, "Hi to Buddy and Ollie!" [John & Mimi's birdies]
4:30pm - City of Salinas
We have arrived in Salinas. It was our intention to do laundry today. We visited three coin laundries. All three packed!
Sunday may not be a good day to do laundry in a working class neighborhood. We will try doing our laundry again mid-week.
Flowers
On the way out of San Ardo this morning, Little iPhone captured a pic of big and gorgeous sunflowers. A farmer planted sunflowers as a border to the crops growing in the field.
ZTE Mobley
There is a lot of talk around the RVing crowd about a device called:
Are you using the ZTE Mobley?
Image Test
Hi Everybody!
We wish to post images on our Blog which are the best for you. Our friend Kevin Read [Of Kevin and Ruth fame] clued us in that our images [when expanded] are much too small.
Below are images which have been resized. Would you please do us a favor?
Click on an image. The image should then resize. What we are looking for, is an image that grows to fill your computer screen complely.
Please send us your thoughts about these images in a comment.
Thank you sooooo much!

B: 1280 x 720
I am glad you have found your happy. Your night camp looks great. Far from the maddening crowd. Keep on being happy.
ReplyDeleteHi Vera,
DeleteYes! I am happy. Because I love RVing. 😍
Thank you sooooo much for your comment!

Hi George. Is there anything you can do to make your photos larger? For example, I click on that photo above of your nite camp site, and it comes up about the same size. I can't stand that. I want to see the full screen version!

Hi Kevin,
DeleteIf you use the Google Chrome browser, you will get what you wish for. A larger pic,
I am guessing that you are using the Safari browser. For some unknown reason, often Apple does NOT debug stuff like this?!
George
.
I use the Google Chrome browser and I am unable to enlarge your pictures, too. They are very small.
ReplyDeleteHi Linda,
DeleteThank you for commenting!
Did you see the "image test" that I Blogged? I'm interested to know if you saw any difference between the three images?
George
.
I use the Safari on my iPhone. Simply tap the photo a couple of times; it opens in a separate window and then use your fingers to enlarge.
ReplyDeleteHi Bill,
DeleteWhat happens when you tap the (3) images in my Image Test?
George
.
On my iPhone they all end up the same.
DeleteOn my PC #1 and #2 fill my screen tho somewhat fuzzy. #3 remains the same.
DeleteNumber 1 is the image that fills the computer completely but the quality is very poor, very fuzzy.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Vera!

For me, using a Firefox browser, picture "C" comes out best. It just about doubles in size and mostly maintains focus.
ReplyDeletePictures A and B enlarge just fine, and when clicked upon they fill the browser window, but get a little fuzzy.
Thank you, Barbara!

Try small pieces of broccoli for Boid. Also, the dark leafy greens like spinach, kale, and dandelion leaves are very good for him. Bird seed alone does not provide enough nutrients, especially millet, even if it is sold as "bird food." There is also a very good pelleted food for parakeets and others in the parrot family.
ReplyDeleteI learned all of this a long time ago when my son bought a baby cockatiel from a breeder. Check out this web site: http://www.petbudgie.com/feeding/
Be careful about just picking something from a field, however. It might contain pesticides and might even be something poisonous to birds.
Hi Grandma,
DeleteBoid has asked me to follow your comment! 🕊

1920x1080 fills my Macbook Pro screen. Good to see you out and about. Steady as she goes.
ReplyDeleteHi Steve,
DeleteThank you for commenting about my IMAGE TEST.
There was no resolution to this image question?!?
It seems to me that I should continue doing with images what I did in the past.
George
.
Photo c is the best. Other two get very fuzzy.
ReplyDeleteHi FG,
DeleteThank you for letting me know!
George
.
1280 X 720 looks great!
ReplyDeleteThank you Phil and Greta!
DeleteI have a lot to learn about getting pics with my iPhone 5s.
George
.
The two larger ones were a bit blurry; the smaller one was the clearest. Viewed on a MacBook Air
ReplyDeleteThank you, Linda! 😎

Using the Mobley. Have used 29.5 GB and still have 5 days left in the billing period. Bought it directly from AT&T online for $99. No activation fee. Activated it online.
ReplyDeleteA day or two later got an email to call a number to verify my identity. Took just a few minutes and all is fine. Pay $20 a month. Great speed. Reset the device to never turn off instead of the default of turning off after 30 minutes. Purchased an AC adaptor on ebay to allow me to use it in the "house." Actually, our home is our motorhome. Works as well as everyone says and am really glad we got it.
Hi WF,
DeleteThank you for letting me know!
When did you buy your ZTE Mobley? I tried to order today, and found out that no orders will be accepted because they are NOT in stock.
I'll keep trying,
George
.
Got it about 3 weeks ago. Got it 2 days later. Glad I jumped on it as soon as I started reading all the buzz about it. It is a stand alone plan as our phones are Verizon and we have no other account with AT&T. So far it's been great! Sorry you are having trouble finding one.
ReplyDeleteI mean I ordered it about 3 weeks ago and got it 2 days after ordering.
DeleteThat ZTE Mobley is Sooooo Hard to find?!?
DeleteThanks for your info.
George
.
Happy Blog Birthday George. I remember from the old "Adventures of Tioga and George".
ReplyDeleteGlad to see you back again.
Your friend,
Florida Mike
Hi Mike!
DeleteWow! Slipped my mind! The first Blog post was on May 14th, 2003.
Thank you,
George

A fills my screen.

640 X 480 did not fill the full screen, about 2/3 was filled, clear photo
ReplyDelete1280 X 720 did fill the entire screen, a bit fuzzy
1920 X 1080 did fill the screen, a bit fuzzy
Thank you, Connie!

Buddy and Ollie say "Hey" to George and Boid.
ReplyDeleteHey to you guys too!
DeleteGeorge & Boid

George. It looks like you are taking a small picture and resizing it which is why the big one is fuzzy. The trick is to set your (phone?) camera to take the picture in the resolution that you plan on using on your blog. You wont have to resize and there will be no loss
ReplyDeleteHi Andrew,
DeleteThank you! I've begun to look at iPhone's camera features and settings.
I appreciate very much your heads-up! 😀
