Performing at the Lincoln City, Oregon Cultural Center before a live audience....12:25pm:
Pegboard is so great!
Yesterday afternoon, I drove over to Ace Hardware in Lincoln City. Can't remember what I went to Ace to buy?
Hardware stores are so fantastic to browse! Gotta love it!
On the bottom shelf, across from about 100 acres of screws, bolts, etc., were a couple trays of wire things. Kinda fork shaped. What's this??
There was a label, which read:
"Fits 1/4 pegboard"
I asked one of the Ace guys: "Where's the pegboard?
Guy: "Over in lumber. Come-on. I'll show you."
I found out that pegboard comes in 4 foot x 8 foot sheets. But I could buy a half sheet. A quarter sheet. I tried the fork shaped thing. Wow! Works great!
I told the Ace guy: "I gotta go back to my truck. Take measurements. May I leave my stuff over here?"
Guy: "Sure!"
I bought a 1/2-sheet of pegboard. Cut to fit in TrĂ¡nsito. iPhone put his captured pic of that installed pegboard in yesterday's 3:05pm Blog post.
Here's a couple more if iPhone's pegboard pics.

Napping afternoon
Last nite, I didn't finish tweaking Pete Olson's music video until around 3am!
So, this afternoon, I spent hours in Scampy's comfy bed. I just woke up! Plenty of daylight to do a bunch of sorting out of stuff in TrĂ¡nsito's storage! Fun!
7:23pm:
Devil's Lake
For much of today, we have been Camping at Devil Lake's, Regatta Park.
A very lovely place, as you may see for yourself!

George, I can't believe you have gone through this many years without discovering pegboard! :)
ReplyDeleteCroft,
DeleteI do not recall actually buying a pegboard before now.
It boggles my mind, at how many things I'll be able to store on that pegboard!
➜ My set of open end/box wrenches, sorted out
➜ Hammers
➜ Wire baskets
Everything on the pegboard, clearly visible!

But not always a good idea when they can come off in a vehicle and become projectiles. Be sure to to have an adequate barrier between you and the hanging things.
Deletedavid h,
DeleteThere is a barrier. It is made of hardened steel wire. About 1/4" diameter.
Thank you for your concern for my welfare.
George
.
I love pegboard! Good for kids too!
ReplyDeleteJoan,
DeleteFor me, Pegboard is not expensive and extremely versatile.
George
.
If pegboard impresses you. Look up Slat Board!
