Day 139
Why Make My Blog Private?
8:53am:
It came down to which would I do?
➜ Change my writing style? Not let you in on everything?
OR
➜ Only allow registered Readers access.
It is my belief, based on my experience, that it is becoming increasingly unsafe to open my life for the world to peruse. Going private takes all my Blog posts, all the way back to the beginning private.
Note: Taking my Blog private has nothing to do with scammers. Or argumentative commenters. Comments may be dealt with.
.
9:19am:
Heading south
Very soon, the Scampy RV Team will be on-the-road again. Heading south.
There are some things that we ordered that must be received first. But after that, we'll be off!
4:38pm:
Drug overdose?
A few plumbing items are needed in order to install Scampy's replacement grey water tank. After parking at Home Depot, I was unable to recall what I needed to buy! I just could not bring up that thought from my mind!
This kinda stuff does not happen to me. So, I just sat there inside Tránsito. In a couple of minutes, I remembered.
➜ Plastic tube union
➜ 2-hose clamps
What was wrong?
Then it came to me. Earlier this day, I had upped dosage of my prescription pain medication. And the side-effect of forgetfulness was the result!
I gotta be more careful.
5:16pm:
Private blog reader limit!
I just learned that a private blog may only have 100 invited Readers!
This number will not work for my Blog! I must remain public!
Please forgive me for this confusion....
.

It's sad that because of some idiots, people have to do this, but I understand the need to.
ReplyDeleteRuth,
DeleteIt really is being public that is a danger to me.
Not..... "some idiots".... who scam, or make reading comments annoying.
As you wrote, "It's sad......" That is sooooo true. 😟

ReplyDeleteGeorge,
ReplyDeleteA suggestion...
So as not to burden your main blog pages with that long list of "members", how about just posting a short notice and a link to another page that has the list?
Joe

George, To Do list. Highly recommended. I've never functioned well without mine. Plus, once you write things down, you don't have to worry about forgetting, but strangely enough, I pretty much always remember what I wrote down. Just a thought. Take care!
ReplyDelete"And the side-effect of forgetfulness was the result!"
ReplyDeleteCan you remember not to up your dosage??
Good to know that we can continue to follow you George. After meeting you at Hacienda Contreras with Kevin & Ruth, we would be sad to not be able to follow you!! Keep on doing what you do. We LOVE it!!!
