Day 28
My Blog is about RVing
1:22am:
Dear Reader,
Lately my Blog has drifted into a place where it should not be. That place is political stuff.
I got caught up in the emotional stimulation of it. Sorry about that!
George
9:08am:
Fragrance
All of my life, I've never worn a fragrance.
About six months ago, the idea of using a fragrance popped into my brain. And it wouldn't go away!
I chose Macy's to shop for it. Explaining to the lady that I did not know anything about men's fragrances, I asked for suggestions.
I got a kick out of this fragrance business! They give you free samples!
"What do other guys buy?", I asked.
"Georgio Armani Acqua Di Geo is by far the most popular in the USA", she told me. $65 bucks!
Only $49.98 at Amazon. But you gotta know what you want! I now give myself a spray on my neck every morning. I love this fragrance!
9:59am:
Heading out
Right after doing breakfast dishes, we are heading out. Gotta refill fresh water at the South Shore Boat Ramp [Next to Seaworld].
Laundry too. A bit of shopping. Need a flu shot at Kaiser. Also dermatologist appointment at Kaiser.
3:09pm:
At South Shore
We did our laundry at a very nice coin laundry. Only $2 for wash. BIG parking area! We don't find big parking areas all the time at coin laundries.
The dump station at South Shore makes RVing sooooo easy for the Scampy Team! We fill our fresh water tank here too.
Note: I never drink from Scampy's fresh water tank. Get drinking water from filling a 2.5 gallon jug at Glacier fresh water dispensers.

You are fine George. Some folks just love to argue politics. It's the way they are. My way or the highway. Me. It just isn't worth it. They don't change my opinion and I don't even try to change theirs. OTOH I am a Libra. The sign of the scale. I do not ever like to argue. :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks, ND!
DeleteIt turns out, that I do not enjoy arguing politics. Makes me feel uneasy. I don't like that!
Happy New Year!
George
.
I'm curious have you figured out how you're going to get your parakeet cross the border ?
ReplyDeleteIs there a breeders bird band on one leg or two
Hi Ed,
DeleteIt's a bad idea to take Boid across the International Border. There are regulations which apply when returning to the United States with Boid. Costs a lot of $dough$ to follow those regs.
Instead, a Reader suggested taking Boid to stay with Evie or Jacky.
Boid has one leg band [Why?].
George
.
As a breeder I would put one band on the left leg
DeleteIf you take a bird anywhere that has a band it will indicate that it was raised by a breeder if no band on the leg
It would indicate the chance of being wild, which would probably give you an special issue if you want to cross any borders
But it sounds like your second alternative would be a safer alternative
Good morning, George. I'll start off by saying that I agree with you. Lots of comments about political stuff and people just trying to get you to "bite" on comments.
ReplyDeleteI love reading your posts, but I rarely look at the comments. I enjoy hearing about your days and what you are up to. You are a very interesting man. You are my Dad's age and share a lot of his viewpoints.
Keep on keeping on and know that many of your readers enjoy this little slicer if the internet because we care about YOU. Enjoy the last week of 2017.
Good morning to you, Kent!
DeleteIt took me awhile to understand the bad of Blogging political stuff on my Blog. But now I get it!
Happy New Year, Kent!

Dear George,
ReplyDeleteTo supplement your audio books while walking, you might want to check out Podcasts. There are 10s of thousands of them on every imaginable topic. They're free and can be download to your phone and/or computer
Many public libraries have free downloadable audio books. Many libraries in California will issue you a card as long as you're a California resident. If they require an official address, you can send yourself a piece of mail to a friend and use that as proof of residency .
You might also want to check out some college lectures online. here are some at Yale:
https://oyc.yale.edu/courses
No sign up, no money, excellent lectures.
Hi Sail,
DeleteThank you sooooo much!
You give me too much credit for reading capacity! I am now listening to:
➜ Capital in the Twenty-First Century [A 600+ page book]
Waiting in the wings:
➜ To Build A Fire by Jack London
➜ To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee
➜ Adventures of Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain
➜ A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens
➜ .....and six other books!
George
.
The absolute yummiest scent a man can wear is the Classic Aqua Velva after shave - less that $10.00 at any drug store. So clean and fresh smelling. SO yummy!! Try it and you'll see what I mean. SO GOOD I bought some for myself. ;)

I use to be in the perfume biz. Look up Sephora. They have a huge a inventory of high quality men's cologne. They will give you three free samples to take with you!! Try a few and then ask them for samples of the ones you like.
ReplyDeleteHi Sail,
DeleteI intend to do that.
Thank you,
George
.
George, I'm happy you were able to enjoy time with your friend and I pray you had a very Merry CHRISTmas! Also, I wish you... Happy New Year! Blessings, Lynn
ReplyDeleteA lot of people are allergic/sensitive to fragrances and perfumes.
ReplyDeleteThese days any office or medical bldg have signs posted about
not wearing these on their premises!
Oh no, Joan!
DeleteYou mean allergic to my Acqua Di Gio by Giorgio Armani? At $65 bucks for a little bottle? Allergic?
Oh my!
George
.
Sorry! Just smell good when you're outside!!!
ReplyDeleteJoan is right, George. There’s a big sign in my doctor’s office telling folks not to wear scent to their appointments because a lot of folks are allergic and have problems breathing scented air...asthmatics, etc.
