Cloudy Weather

6:55 am:
We are in Moscow Idaho. The sky is filled with dark grey clouds. The temperature is 44℉, which means that Wave3, our catalytic heater is remaining on high during the day.

These dark clouds also affect our solar electric system. Right now we are able to charge the battery of both Mac and iPhone and have lights on too. About an hour ago, there was not enough Sun power to do that and our inverter's output shut down!

Dark clouds over Moscow Idaho

8:15am :
Borrowing WiFi
Our Nite Camp yesterday was at a Les Schwab tire place here in the City of Moscow. We wanted to download some movies using their WiFi. However, we learned that Schwab's WiFi is too slow for a movie download.

A speed test for the Schwab WiFi showed a very slow:
.43 Mbps download/.03 Mbps upload

In comparison, our T-Mobile speed test reported a fast:
17.8 Mbps download/1.6 Mbps upload

9:05 am:
Breakfast
Here is the breakfast that I prepared this morning!

Two eggs over easy, sausage, rye toast, hot chocolate

12:58 pm:
Dirk IDs Wheat!
When I Blogged a question asking what the grass growing around Idaho was Reader Dirk replied that it is wheat.

He is so very right. Little iPhone captured a pic showing wheat.

Idaho Wheat!

1:10 pm:
Indian History
I have never questioned the history of Ameican Indians' inability to adapt from a nomadic culture dependent on hunting buffalo to a farming culture that grows crops for their food.

And then I came upon an Idaho History Sign!

I am not a bleeding heart liberal guy. However, there is a lot of bullshit touted as fact in our history books. And apparently, I sucked up that BS history.

I hate when that happens to me. I got suckered into believing government BS about the Vietnam War. Also, the government BS about Muhammad Ali.

I now don't believe ANYTHING that the government says is truthful. If I am wrong, I'll figure that out eventually.

3:01 pm:
Coeur d'Alene
We have made an Afternoon Camp in what appears to be downtown
Coeur d'Alene.

There are street signs where the Scampy Team has camped:

What does this parking sign mean to you?

What it means to the Scampy Team is:
➜ OK to park here for two hours. Then move a few feet for another two hours.
➜ From 6pm in the afternoon to 9am the following morning, OK to park here.
There may also be camping on the street regulations to contend with. But we do not pay attention to those regulations until the city attempts to enforce them.

After all, we are the Scampy Team! Descended from the mighty MsTioga! We know the score! Actually, we wrote the score!

7:10 pm:
360 Fitness
I paid $10.60 for admission to 360 Fitness in Coeur d'Alene [Link].

This is the last time I will pay for admission to a fitness club when I am RVing around the country. Because this afternoon I joined the "Active and Fit" program that was recommended in comments by some of my Blog Readers!

BTW, today's workout was really a good one. I soaked in their Hot Tub for about 20 minutes and then exercised for about 1-1/2 hours. 😎

Remember when I had a high blood
pressure reading at Kaiser recently?

I took the above BP reading this afternoon
at 360 Fitness in the middle of my workout!

  1. Hey at one time The native Americans owned Alcatraz Island. the last time they were there they had to take it by force. I think they learned right off it would make a lousy casino

  2. Coeur d'Alene has a lovely lake. I swam there almost 50 years ago. I remember it well. My brother worked on his PhD at the university in Moscow.

    1. Hi LBM,

It is a lovely lake. We drove there earlier today.

Unfortunately, there is no parking for an RV at the lake! 😩

  3. My mother had an aunt living in Coeur d'Alene when I was young and we visited her often. I have many happy memories of spending time on the amusement pier on the lake.

I have always taken those signs to mean that no matter what time before 9 am you park, you do not have to move until 11 am.Moving a few feet re-sets the clock. At 4:01 you can legally park again until 11:00 am once again. As you say though, there may be separate rules for street camping and they might knock on your door to remind you of them.

Thank you for sharing about the good times you had visiting your Aunt in Coeur d'Alene. 😎

You and I think alike about parking signs!
