Fresh Water Tank Report

12:03 pm:
Yesterday evening at about 10:45 pm, the Scampy Team drove to a gas station in order to test our re-worked Fresh Water Tank tubes.

While the tank was filling, everybody was watching the water level rise with bated breath! Of course, we all concentrated on the filler tube. Was there a sign of a leak from the filler tube?

There was no sign whatsoever of a filler tube leak! Yaayyy!

We usually cut the water filling before the fresh water tank is fully filled in order to prevent a leak coming from the vent tube. But that was before the new vent tube was installed.

But right now we wished to test what happens when the tank is completely filled and incoming water is forced up the vent tube? We let the tank water to flow out the vent tube for about 1/2 minute. When no leak from the vent tube could be seen, the vent tube was declared a complete success!

Wow! Man-O-Man. Double Wow with sugar on it!

George has camped here before, during his MsTioga days. Our present camp is near a footbridge over a section of the Clark Fork of the Columbia River.

We have just published our Nite Camp Location Map link below.

    1. Hi Carol and Bill,

Sometimes I reach a place where it appears that things are happening so fast, that I may never get ahead.

Experience has taught me that when things are like that, just keep on keeping on.

Eventually, hard work beats down whatever comes along.

PS: Are we getting together up in Oregon next year? 😛

      Hope so,

      George

  3. Hey George
That connection to the blue tube looks sketchy. Seems like you need a longer tube. Hopefully since it's just a vent, you won't have any trouble with it.

  4. George, looking at that blue hose, it seems the hose might be a better fit if it was longer. It looks like it's barely on the tank fitting.

    1. Hi Bob,

It is the fresh water tank's location to the wall that is the limiting factor. If the tank were further away from the wall, a longer filler tube could be used.

However, my installation is a good one! For sure!!

It may look to you that the blue tube is barely on the tank fitting. In fact, the blue tube is on solid.
