September

10:32 am:
Boid flew away in September 2018. My Son David went away in September 2010.

For me, September is not a sad month. September is a remembering month.

    1. Hi MJ,

I agree with what you commented about "Good Memories!"

I would like to let you in about Boid and myself:
Boid is not traveling with me anymore. But his cage is here where it always has been when the Scampy Team is on-the-road.

Boid's cage sits on the stool in the passenger seat. The cage door remains open, just as it was open when Boid flew thru that door and away to find his destiny.

When I am driving, I picture in my mind's-eye what Boid would be doing. And, because Boid and I traveled together for almost two years, I am completely aware of the stuff that Boid does during a trip.

Boid may not be riding with me anymore. But the soul of him is with me and in that cage!

      Pretty neat, huh? 😎

    1. Hi N,

Yes, some of my loved ones in those photos are gone. And some are still alive. And of course, me, the old geezer is still kicking up some dust and living the good life!

  4. Is that you with the sideburns George? Cool picture. Your son seemed like a wonderful guy, so sad it ended too soon.

Yes, that is me! Sideburns like that were the in-thing during the 70s!

    1. Hi Bill,

      You mean since David died?

David died on September 20th, 2010 [1-day before his birthday].

That will make it eight years since David died, not 10-years.

When I found out about David taking his own life, I became a bit crazy with anger and grief. During my entire life, I've never experienced anything so traumatic as David's death.

    1. Folks like us in our 80s get confused from time to time. We have earned the right to be confused! 😜
