Taking advantage of being completely and utterly invisible as a guy camping in his RV, I have made a Nite Camp in a residential neighborhood near the Fashion Valley Shopping mall in downtown San Diego.
I never would have dared Nite Camp in a place like this before, because of the likelihood that a neighbor would report me to police. However, Box Van is no ordinary RV.
Box Van is an RV that looks very much like a U-Haul rental truck because that is what he is!
Box Van is sooooo good looking!
11:13 pm:
This afternoon I moved all of my clothing from Scampy to Box Van. I also moved Scampy's deep cycle battery to Box Van. Now there is electric power here!
I am planning to hire a contractor guy to mount the Yingli Solar panel on to Box van's roof. My friend John has cautioned me about going on a ladder at my age. I am following John's caution.
.
The question is—Is it Ms. Box Van or Mr. Box Van? I’m sure Ms. Tioga would want to know!
ReplyDeletePeter,
DeleteAll of my RVs since the beginning in 2003 have always been ladies. And my one-and-only tow vehicle [Señor Tránsito] was a gentleman.
However, Box Van is both an RV and a truck. So, I asked Box Van what his sex-preference was?
Box Van stated that he is Mr. Box Van.

If the information on the website I looked at is correct, the dimensions of grandma's attic are 2'6" x 7'8" x 2'7". I hope it's easy to get into and out of for you, George. It does seem that would be more comfortable to sleep in than being on the camping cot.My twin bed is 6" wider and has more room than I need,so I'm guessing you'll be able to sleep well up there. Did you sleep there last night, and if so,how was it? -N
ReplyDeleteN,
DeleteRight now it is not too difficult for me to climb into Grandma's attic at bedtime using my step-ladder. Or go down to use the potty during the nite.
I will have a detachable ladder soon.
Changing from the terribly uncomfortable Coleman Camping Bed to sleeping on Scampy's mattress made all the difference.
Last nite a slept sooooo comfortably in Grandma's Attic!

Box Van looks great just as it is. Maybe it does't need a side window or door. Sam
ReplyDeleteGary,
DeleteI have been considering a digital window.
This digital window would consist of an outside camera[s] and a high definition video screen. This screen would be mounted on the wall of my living quarters.

A digital window seems like a perfect Stealth idea!
ReplyDeletePhil,
DeleteI am very glad that you like my using a digital window! 😎

What is your plan for inside ventilation if no windows?
ReplyDeleteMel,
DeleteA roof mounted fantastic fan.
Of course it is not necessary to be stealthy during the day. I could go to the beach. Park with Box Van's rear facing the ocean. And open the big sliding door.

Sunlight could be from a skylight or some other clever idea you devise.
ReplyDeleteGrif,
DeleteI was thinking like you. A Fantastic Fan in the roof.
Very stealthy up there!
