Struggle With Drawers

9:01 am:
This morning I decided to straighten up the mess which had become Box Van. All went well until I began messing with my 9-drawer cabinet!

The slides in all of my drawer cabinets are supposed to be soft close. But four of these drawers do not want to soft close. In fact, those four drawers are difficult to close at all! So, I decided to fix those four drawers.!

I worked on those four drawers for almost five hours! I kid you not!

I was barely able to drive a screw correctly to re-mount the slides! I do not understand what was going on with me being so screw-challenged!

2:16 pm:
I just finished getting those four drawers reassembled. All four drawers now close reasonably well. Not soft close well. But at least they now close.

What may have happened with my inability to drive screws while remounting the drawer slides may have to do to with my vision.

To look at the screw heads while driving screws, I had to bend over and look inside the cabinet from an angle. That's because the cabinets are so low to the floor. I was only able to see properly using one of my eyes!

This caused me to fail repeatedly to get the drive bit on to the Phillips screw head. Boy-O-Boy! I got sooooo damned frustrated!

Troubled with my drawer cabinets!

8:30 pm:
I've just constructed the rest of the wall which separates my living quarters from my workshop! Yaayyy!

The opening of the doorway is 24". I determined the doorway width by sitting on my folding chair in the same place where my living quarter's table will be located.

For me, this doorway is a miracle!
