What's Next?

7:27 am:
The pass-thru from the Ford to Box Van has to be cleaned up. I want to put a hardwood door frame there. Maybe light colored oak? There will be no door. Just a throw blanket.

The three electric jacks that I purchased a few weeks ago need installation. Likely use Santee Welding again. A few Readers felt that having jacks would mess with my stealth. I don't think that it will. Box Van's side skirts make jacks hard to see. I really need those jacks. Walking around inside Box Van when it's not level messes with my balance.

8:12 am:
Mom's attic [The overhead] is going to be a big kitchen shelf. Also, the place where Box Van's fresh water tank and hot water heater are located.

Windows! I have the weird idea of installing high-resolution video monitors as widows. The cameras for these monitors will show the outside.

  1. Have you thought about adding a couple of roof vents? I know you do not want light to shine through, but at night, you could add vent pillows to make it dark. The vents would give you some light during the day so you do not have to turn on any lights.

  2. George, couple of jack questions:

    1. Why only 3 jacks instead of four? Seems like you will encounter situations with only 3 jacks where you will not be able to fully level the van.

    2. The photo you posted of the jacks makes it look like the "feet" have a small diameter. Leveling jacks almost always have a foot base diameter of 10 to 12 inches. It your feet are as small as they look, you may encounter situations (soft, wet ground or even hot asphalt) where your jack legs will sink into the surface.

Looking forward to watching your project.

    1. Robert,

      1. Three jacks is all that is necessary if I always park downhill. Which I always do.

      2. Good point. When I encounter a soft sand situation, I will put a base under the foot.

  3. OK OO7, your area 51 high resolution television requires power?
    your camera requires power?
I think you need to go to Denny's sit down Order a senior 55 entrée,
and figure out how much power?
The cost of an 86 inch TV hi resolution HD
Cost of two high resolution proximity cameras and control box
    Cost of one standalone inverter
    How many batteries?
and how many solar panels? .1.
It sounds like a really cool nice idea,,Mr,Bond,, but is it really practical ??
