Perhaps besides taking a couple tylenol, aspirin or whatever works, you could treat yourself to a night in a nice motel/hotel room, sleep in a nice big bed, order breakfast from room service, and just have a day off from projects and work,go sit by the ocean or? You have spent so long turning Box Van into your home, without days off like most workers take. Letting a body relax and rest once in a while is helpful for anyone. -N
George: I’m going on 87, and find out that if I don’t work out 2 or 3 times a week I start to have pains, and lost of strength. Also I have to start taking naps. This is not too say I’m free of pain, I think I just have less. Just hang in there, you are doing something you will be proud of. Love Wayne.
Hi George Regrets re pain. Since you asked: (some tongue in cheek -- so do not bite down) a) see a pain doctor specialist b) take off the shelf pain pills c) Large sipee cup with Manhattan made of Southern Comfort and sweet vermouth. After 2 you will not likely feel any pain --- or anything else! Tomorrow will be better!
Honor your body (give it rest and good food) and the pain will pass. You are being given a "time out", and that is a good thing to have from time to time. I'm sure you'll still be very productive in your thinking and planning, and before you know it you'll be back to constructing.
Pain can be a good teacher if we listen. I have no doubt you'll bounce back in no time. Hugs to you.
George, you have been working real hard. Take some time off. The rig is far enough along to enjoy / use it. How about a short trip somewhere quiet but close, with a major focus on Relaxation......
I would guess that the non-stop activity of building box van is responsible. I skied for 71 years. For 10 of those years I was a racer. Two years ago at 81 I finally had to give it up. I’m still in good physical shape, but not good enough for the demands skiing puts on my body. I would be exhausted and experiencing pain if I were doing what you’re doing. I think you need more rest. Bill
Hi George. Drive your van to my home in Tustin, I will help you with hanging your cabinets. I am not cabinet-savvy, but I can lend you a large driveway, electricity and a helping hand. A reader since the beginning of your blog - Steve

Maybe you should winter in your mobile home and travel in spring & summer.
